    Okay...
I waiting for final confirmation of the time frame, but this is expected to be available around 2pm ET

They need EVERYONE to be on this version.
So if the AUTOUPDATE does not work... you MUST force it.

Basically if you see it in the stream (Via Doug's site, or one of saying it is still there)... and you don't have it.... FORCE the download.

    -----

Later this evening/morning... and new version will comedown 0x108...
Which will then do a poll to see who gets it.

With this 0x108... ABSOLUTLEY no forcing it... only allow it to come down automatically.

And 0x108 will have some updates to it... notes to follow.

Okay Earl - one procedural question for 0x108 later tonight: what do we do if the box requires a restart for another reason like dropped networking or heaven forbid another rash of gray screens or keep/delete recordings? 'Cause when that happens, any kind of restart seems to catch the push. IF that happens, are we directed to leave the box alone until the push ends and we can restart without the download? The only reason I ask is that I caught 0x105 yesterday when I had to restart to fix networking, not because my box got the push automatically.

Earl, by what time would you force 107 if it did not come down automatically? Or simply force it at our earliest opportunity?

I'd say that if you don't have it by the time the final hour arrives, force it because it may have somthing in it to try to fix the push. Force it sooner if you have failed attempts to get the push.

Force it as soon as you can.... seriously.
They are not intrested in knowing, or testing that 0x107 pushes...
They need you ALL to have 0x107... because 0x108 is the "push" test...

And they want us ALL on 0x107 as a common foundation point.

So if you have access to your system... you see 0x107 confirmed in the stream, by someone or Doug's site.... force the download if you don't have it yet.

I checked RedH and saw 107 so I came over here to look for info. Earl said if we don't have it and it's in the stream, go ahead and force it so I gave it the menu restart and the code. 107 downloading now. I was at 105. I haven't had any problems with the last few so I assume I would have gotten 107 normally but I'm getting ready to leave to go to the blood bank and didn't want to not be here when the stream ended and miss it. I'll be back before the 108 tonight.

I'm glad I'm home sick from work today to see this ... downloading now via RBR and 02468 because Restart/Dash did not work. (I still have a 0x104/0x105 issue to report ... should I bother?)

Edit: I posted my issue anyway.

Damn it. Tried to force it via Slingbox but it won't accept the Dash at the end of the Restart Receiver command. It just sits there and laughs at me like a three year old.

I'll have to force it when I get home later this afternoon. Grrr.

For what it's worth, I just got the download notice on my screen and told it to go ahead but of course nothing happened. A full system test shows failure of the Network and Internet connections. Wish I was home sick TODAY instead of yesterday.

I think you and I have HR21s separated at birth - we're having almost identical problems.

I forced the download a little before 2:41 PM ET and it just completed at 3:00 PM ET, so it took a total of 19 minutes. Does that seem long to anyone else?

How long, start to finish, is it taking everyone else?

Note: Forced download doesn't appear in the History. System Info & Test said it completed at 2:55 PM.

    Teays...
Just walked back in and it was sitting there looking for 107 with 0% downloaded. Then it rebooted and I am waiting to see what version I have. This is the first software update with the unit on.

Edit: Unit rebooted, still at 105. Forced new download and it is now downloading.

    Edit 2: Got 107 at 3:27p
