HR21-700: 0x168 - I Had to Reboot Thread

    HR21 would only show gray or sound when trying to play a recording. All menu functions worked fine.

    1. Method: Via menu

    4. Reseason for Reset/Reboot: can't play any recordings

    4. Reseason for Reset/Reboot: BSOD on all channels. Remote responsive, but no video or audio (just black screen) on HD local, SD local & sat, HD sat (TNT-HD)

    The thing is, I sat for 8 minutes at the restart screen with the black dash in the yellow box, but the DVR didn't restart. So then I:....

    4. Reseason for Reset/Reboot: Menu Restart did not go beyind "Dash" screen.

    All is fine after RBR.

    4. Reason: brought out of standby, black screen, no audio. Menu and guide accessible. Back to live TV after restart. It was on standby for about 24 hours or more.

    4. Reason: Turned on from Standby and had Grey Screen of Death. Correct Banner when changing channels; but all grey.

    4. Reason: Was FFW during superbuffer and all playback stopped. No audio/video on any channel nor on playback from playlist. Menu reset resolved problem.

    Issue: screen goes blank

    What Happened: when going from live to a recording, the screen went blank. and the remote unresponsive. Not grey, not black, but blank

    What I Did: RBR cures all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1945 CDT, black screen coming out of standby. Rebooted.

    4: Reason for Reboot: locked up during last rebot hot pink screen, then it locked up again on step 1 or 2 during reboot. Did RBR again.

    Forgot to do this last night: 1945 CDT, menu reset. Receiver with the exception of menus went black.

    4. Reason: Picture was frozen. Menus and progress bar worked though. Progress bar shows image froze at 3:58 AM on AMC channel. Tried changing channels but no video/audio on any other channel. Restored after reset.
