HR21 and HR22 Recall

    Tech just left my house. HR22 took a dump, so he replaced with HR24-200. Told me that "internally" there is a recall to replace any 21 and 22's while on a servicecall. BTW, what a diference from the 22 to the 24.:hurah:

    THis is old news. At least to me. I called up a year about ago needing an HR22 replaced. They sent me a HR24. Told me to keep the HR22 they did not want it back.

    They sent me a recovery box for my HR21-100.

    Are the HR-20s already out of the loop?

    I think they are. I still have one but won't get one as replacement when it dies. I have 2 HR24 and can't wait for a 3rd. :) hint: hint: HR20

    I deactivated two HR20s last month and they sent me a recovery kit to return them.

    That's weird. I deactivated one of those more than a year ago and could not get them to take it back.

    This is something I don't really understand, I install hr22's on a semi regular basis. Its all about what the warehouse gives me. I would give everybody 24's but the hr22's are still given to install for new customers, where's there disconnect in communication?

    I had a failed HR22 replaced with a.... HR22 about 2 months ago. Was really hoping to get an HR24.

    As we know the system isn't perfect, but at $250 each, for non returned equipment charges, they weren't staying around here.

    I had an HR21-700 with a bad HDD. D* said I owned it not to send it back. Then magically a $250 charge appeared on my account for a not returned DVR. I called D*; one CS said don't return and another said do return. D* gave me a credit for the $250, and I returned the HR21 anyway. I got another $250 for the return. D* replaced the HR21-700 with another HR21-700, but it had a bad Toslink port. It was replaced with a HR22-100, but it had a bad HDD. This all happened in October and November. I sent all the DVR's back. D* sent a Tech out, and they replaced my 2 DVR's with new HR24's. I still have an HR21-100 which has never been activated. Go figure!

    Yes, I understand so I kept calling. And finally they insisted I just keep it. And they never charge me for non-return of equipment. It's somewhere in my house still....

    I deactivated a leased HR20-700 a couple of months ago. I was told I wouldn't get a recovery kit. I asked if that meant that it was owned. I was told that no, it was still leased, they just didn't want it back.

    A couple of weeks later I received a recovery kit.
