About the only way for me to get the locals is to subscribe to the basic limited cable channels (11) for ~$15/mo. :eek2:

Then get the Direct TV PlusHD DVR setup with the HR21 for an HD plasma and a basic Recvr for another room analog.

So, how does the cable interface with the HR21? The cable exists and is coax going to the HDTV box and the analog set direct. How would I get it into the HR21?

Called DirectTV but the guy didn't know.....just curious.

If a fix for the OTA antenna becomes available then I can install an antenna and go that route, but until the cable co. has got me....

    Cable Guy.

The cable doesn't interface with the HR21.

Guess I am out of luck with respect to the locals! Can't setup an antenna for them, and can't use cable.

No way to get locals into the HR21 HD DVR? There is no waiver since they are available OTA in digital format.
