Having an issue with one of my HR22s. I have an HR34 whole home setup, with a number of HR22s. I'm having an issue where one of the HR22s occasionally pixelates, at times says it cannot a signal on one of the Sat lines and, if I am watching a show either from this DVR, or on another DVR that has been recorded on this DVR, it eventually becomes disconnected from the network (only to quickly reconnect itself shortly after).

The DVR has already been replaced. The Deca box swapped to another room, but the problem re-occurred tonight after doing all of that, so I know it is not the Deca or the receiver.

I should also mention, that I have noticed in the past that the Deca box will occasionally have no lights on at all, a reboot always took care of the issue.

Does this sound like a line issue or a SWM issue?

    Thanks

we need to know exactly how many receivers and/or DVRs you currently have and if you have a SWM LNB or SWM16 switch

    SWM-16 with 12 tuners total.

    1 HR34 x 5 tuners
    3 HR22s x 2
    1 H23 x 1

Last night, while in the bedroom, a different HR22 also disconnected from the HR34. I've not seen that happen before and it may or may not be related. I'll keep my eye on that one. However, this is a different behavior than the problem HR22 as the problem HR22 drops from all of the other DVRs in the house (you can watch it say "Bedroom is disconnected; Living Room is disconnected etc) and the problem HR22 is the only one having the issues with pixelation and losing one of the SATS.

I will try and look at the connections to the SWM tonight to make sure everything is tight.

I've had the same issue for a few weeks now. I didn't report it here because I thought it was because of an issue with my home network or router.
I have 2 HR24s and 1 HR22 in my home connected via DECA. Watching the basement HR22 on either HR24 works fine most of the time, but every couple of days the playback stops and gives a "basement is disconnected" error.
Stopping playback, waiting a few minutes and re-playing the recording works but it a little annoying.

Try swapping the HR22 to a different room. Move only the HR22 with another HR22. That will rule out cabling, DECAs, SWM16 and show you if it is specifically the box or not.

I've ruled the box out as it has already been swapped out with another. I also swapped the DECA with another unit in the house. I'll adjust the cables over the weekend and see if that fixes the issue.

If you swapped out receivers and DECA adapters, the only real thing left would be an issue with the cabling or a port on a splitter, but the latter is pretty unlikely.

I agree. I'll try tightening some things up outside tonight or tomorrow and see if that takes care of it. If not, service call time.

Disconnecting that line at the splitter outside and then reconnecting seems to have fixed the issue.
