Curious then why you stated many should see an improvement

    Many does not equal everyone.

Now cease these kinds of non-productive retorts and move on.

I have seen a big improvement in speed. Guide speed improved dramatically after a 24 hour period.

    compnurd,

Claims that are favorable to DirecTV are "productive" and no supporting evidence is necessary. Noting the lack of supporting evidence is "non-productive".

Similar claims were made when 0x34c was released and look how that turned out.

I see based on your signature that you have HR2x series. Have you received the update yet? If and when you do please give us your feedback so that you can help with what is fixed and not fixed. As for the link you reference it doesnt anywhere that everyone is going to solved their issues. Simply says that this should improve speed of the remote response and the guide which is why this new NR is being sent out. Directly to address the errors of the previous NR. Rather than too for the details of what we are saying help us with the firmware. ;)

So based on your sarcasm, I guess numerous users who have this version and posted satisfactory results with better stability and speed improvements should be disregarded then?

How about a fix for the Channels I Get problem? Not likely.

Maybe you should let the users get the new software and check it out for themselves before you insist it is the answer to all their prayers. I still have an open mind and hope the new NR is better. Your endless cheer-leading is really unhelpful.

I don't have the new NR and my HR21 is sssloooowwwww.

    Echo Echo Echo....

If people can't drive....they should sell their car.

If people can't accurately read, they should not repeat incorrect things from a post themselves.

If reporting the actual testimony of numerous users with improved results is cheerleading, then so be it.

Hope you get the NR soon and it improves things over 34c...thats the only claim made. Deal with it.

I am amazed the moderators tolerate your continued rudeness to people who won't get with the party line. It seems to be well understood on this board that the rules don't really apply to certain posters.

No evidence their is any problem with the HR2x user base. The problem is under powered hardware and poor software. But remember, you are the poster who thinks the HR2x series is fast and 034c just made it faster.

We are all standing by for your facts to support these claims.

Repeating it over and over doesn't make it so.

Just read 25 of your posts in a row. Snarky, mean-spirited and just plan rude.

    My last post on this...

Thank you - you have just proven my earlier point regarding being misquoted.

I quoted you on your statement "problem is under powered hardware and poor software". I highlighted it for easy reference.

I asked for supporting evidence to that claim, and you promptly twist that into an entirely different topic and discussion - one, by the way, belonging in a PM.

Seems some folks are just craving an argument.

I'll let the Mods address where this thread is going.

I agree. He is taking it to another level. He cant simply debate the facts about what is going on. Everything has to be taken to another level. This is no 2 way discussion here. It is either he is right or that is all. His tone to the people in this thread also needs to be addressed by the Mods

HDtv is simply stating that it has been posted by some of the same people that were upset that they are seeing a difference. Obviously not everyone has received this update and maybe even some that have are still not happy. The last NR was not perfect but even then not everyone was having an issue with it. Even one unhappy customer should be enough for any company to move and Directv tested and released a NR that in fact is already making a difference to some.

Lets get back on the topic rather than each others personal opinion. The Mods do read these threads and will step in if they its necessary which is also not part of the topic. If any of you have received the latest update and its still not good enough please post it so that Directv will read it in the Issues thread. Its really unproductive to go back and forth and not solve any issues. Its ok to have discussions to constantly remind users that your so unhappy with Directv doesnt get to the root of the issue.

To the OP. Let us know once you receive the update if you feel that it makes any difference. I have seen good reviews so far but there is always work to be done.

    Movieman --

Even of those who may be currently tired of their HR2x always enjoy hearing from people with another point of view, and something intelligent to say. I think that is one of the reasons these boards exist. :hurah:

I see your point. As for the topic has any tried to change the the amount of seconds the banner comes out to see if putting less time speeds up the guide and channel change? I know I went from 4 seconds to 2 seconds and it increased my channel change speed even on this current NR.
