On 12/29 I activated my owned HR24-100 and it downloaded 0x452. This was a surprise as I did not think at the time that this was the NR. I expected a completion code of 0(zero). The code is 5667. Is this a problem?

The completetion code is a randomly assinged 4 digit number that is sent along with the activation signal. On some activities, the tech needs to enter that number into his handheld computer in order to close the job. It's all part of the installation verification process.

I know what it means, we've gone over it before. But, as a refresher, see above.

If you still don't believe it, well, then I don't know what to say.

Well, I'm almost convinced (oh ! those official papers - how easy to trust them if it come with a logo ;) ) just tell me what that value 255 mean ? It's not a random value for sure.

It means nothing. The code is only generated on two occasions. The inital activation of the box and when the tech triggers the retest. If you have seen 0255 as the completion code on more than one box, it's pure random chance.

How hard is this for you to understand?

don't worry, not that hard as you pressurize me
the code value seen after FW upgrade steps, but visually nothing changed and the STB/DVR continue works, setup test shows FW: old (say 4140) and new (say 4147)
