First time I used ff I had an "oh no" moment. If jumped forward then froze, a few seconds later it did another jump, froze, jump, froze and so on until I hit play and it came right back playing fine. I was able to use rewind to get back to the beginning of the segment and since then ff has worked fine. This was really a clincher since I never had a bit of trouble with the last ce that was causing some of us issues with trick play.

Just to add, mrv is still unusable for me using wireless. It is the least troublesome going from HR24 to 22 since that way I can almost watch a show as long as I stay away from track play. From the 22 to the 24 it can't be watched because of the stops and starts. They are supposed to begin installing SWiM/DECA here in several weeks. I am going to call cs end of next week to see if they will take an install order.

The HR24-500's release notes has it listed, but not the -100.

I may have gotten a push last night.

I tried several times to PULL last night, but between the unit getting locked up after telling it to restart, and me trying SEVERAL times last night to enter in 02468 in order to pull it, I gave up and switched to the HR23-700 after it appeared to have passed the pull again. A couple of minutes later, I looked and the HR24-100 was downloading the new firmware.

I had an issue with the HR24-100 last night after downloading the new firmware, namely that of the black screen upon turning it on, but a quick hit of the Replay button fixed that, and as it was prior to 12 hours after download, I let it slide.

What little I watched it last night and today have given me high hopes about this release. We'll see! :)

I am seeing something with mrv today which I had not before, taking into account that mrv is not the greatest in my case. When I started something on one of my HR's that had the other as server and watched for awhile, then exited, went to the server and watched the same recording locally on it, it resumes where I stopped it from the remote unit. Again I do not know if this is a new thing or mine would never do this before. I tried this from both ends of my mrv chain.

Cool - it looks like it finally got out to a few folks 1 1/2 hours after the scheduled start time.

I know that about Midnight (EST), several team-mates successfully pulled it down after waiting about an hour with no push received.

I ran an interesting test the past hour or so...I viewed a recording from Thursday and played back via MRV.

That was nice (and consistent with other playback tests today so far) - but what was really neat is that I also used trickplay several times during the program - FF, REW, and 30-second skip - all without any problems. The really nice part was that I did all this via my Slingbox this time.

That's nice hdtvfan0001, I just wish I could do it via the 610N's and my router. I will admit it is better this week with the new BA on the HR24, will see tonight once I get the new ce on my 22 if this continues.

A key difference is that I'm running SWiM and DECA here... that will always come into play. The 610N's should also work, but perhaps not as well.

I did not receive push on h24-700. I forced a download at about 12:15 a.m. or so.
It worked with a few small kinks.
Still no tv apps on it as of yet. Does the h24-700 even have tv apps??
Always says code 3, or code 11 every week.
I'm just happy to get my locals back with the rest of the hbo's I've been missing for the last 3 weeks. YIPEEE!!!

Continuing a MRV playback on the local receiver will do what you saw.

I also did a force last night since I have had problems getting the push and I wouldn't be home tonight to force it.

One thing I have noticed is that autocorrection is not working with MRV on this release. I wanted to do more testing on it before I report it in the issues theread. Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks, my mrv has been so bad that I was never able to see this. Like I have said, this week is better but still not great. Hopefully only 2 more weeks until I can get SWiM/Deca.

Noticed that too...it stops right where you leave it, rather than back up a few seconds.

Seems to be working on mine, according to the HDNet Test Pattern (MPEG-4). MRV FFX3 is auto-correcting between 15-20 seconds on average, same as an HR20-700 client.

    Just re-confirmed that.

With the risk of being laughed at, here goes. Easy guys.
What is autocorrection? I've seen it talked about, but never put it together as of yet, to what it is.

I beleive they are referring to how far backwards the DVR jumps when fastforwarding, so that it starts playing at the spot you hit the play button to compensate for the fact the actual spot on the drive will be out ahead of what you are actually seeing, and to compensate for the few microseconds you brain need to hit the play button after seeing the spot you want to play from.

Yup. It's especially helpful for folks like me who don't have hair-trigger reflexes. If I'm fast forwarding X3, I'm just not quick enough to resume playback exactly at the end of the commercial. By the time I see the transition point and press the PLAY button to exit FF, the show has already advanced further than I want. Once playback after FF resumes, auto-correction "rewinds" the show about 15-20 seconds (at FFX3) to compensate.

Everyone's reflexes are different, so it's not perfect, but 15-20 seconds of correction at FFX3 seems to be a good compromise, based on the lack of folks complaining in these forums they need more or less correction.

    OHHH! I get it.
Sorta like the 30 skip and 30 slip deal a little.. It took me forever to figure out trickplay was just ffw or such..
I even looked up auto correction in the forum dictionary , which was a no go by the way.
    Thanx guys..

Auto correction was a nice perk and a pleasant surprise when it was implemented back in 2007, IIRC. It was a feature high up on our Wish List, but the general feeling was that DirecTV couldn't implement it because of TiVo patents. Happily we were wrong! :)

Life is good here so far. I know it's been less than a day but I've had no issues coming out of standby into a black screen.
