    ISSUE: The HR24-100 locked up like it sometimes does, but this time, it managed to fix itself after about 5-10 minutes. I'm not aware of any differences in why it was able to fix itself this time.

    ISSUE: Unit lost all audio when tuned to MLB Mix Channel. No audio on any channel.
    SOLUTION: Menu reset.
    This report was sent BEFORE the Menu reset..

    got the push sometime overnight, system test shows 2 errors, phone, and dish alignment test not run 72-74-717

    so far, with a little trickplay aided MRV and a little live viewing no issues.

    After watching a show in the live buffer, (which was also recording, but not watching through the list) I hit the 30Skip button about ten times to get back to live and the unit froze tight. I had to do a RBR to get back.

    I also get the same issue as the others when running the system test, no phone line (which is not hooked up) and the dish alignment test not run error.

    Tried to use MRV with the HR24 as server. Brought up play list on the HR23 and it showed only local recordings. I checked status and it read: No networked DVR's found.

    Odd because before I fired up the HR23 I had specifically checked status on the HR24 and it showed that the living room DVR was online. Apparently the connection was only going one way.

    Did a menu reset of the HR24 and suddenly the remote play list showed up on the HR23 and I was able to use MRV during the afternoon without further issues. As with the previous CE it seems if I want to use MRV I need to reset the HR24 first.

    I have not been just automatically resetting the DVR daily as a matter of course.

    Doing so would mean there would be no way of knowing if this really continues as a daily problem with this CE.

    But a daily reset seems to end up being the only way MRV works each day.

    Early this morning while using the HR24, as client the issue was, when coming out of trick play a few different times the video would freeze. I could usually hit the quick rewind and it would come out of it.

    Also the issue I noted earlier with Media Share is repeatable. I select a song, select no photo slideshow.

    It does the please wait, then the banner is at the top of the screen showing the song, artist, title, genre but the bottom half of the screen is blank.

    Just light blue. During this, the song is already playing.

    If I hit exit usually once, sometimes I have to do it twice then the little box with the song info pops up and it goes to black screen with the little box bouncing around.

    PS. Sorry this is so long, just trying to note everything as I remember it.

    H24 is locked up. No video. tried to reset still unable to get video. it lets me change the channel after reset but then switches back and forth for awhile the nothing just black screen:confused:. Can't sen report.

    Black screen coming out of TP while watching a local recording. Was able to EXIT out to Live TV (could tell by the changing of the audio), but had no video. REPLAY returned video.

    Report: Shortly after the above at 9:06pm EST, 5/9/10
    Black screen is back with audio on local recording. EXITed out (change in audio). Not able to use REPLAY to get video back. I went through the remote commands hoping to send a report. But since I did not have video, I have no way to give you the report ID. Not even sure I did the sequence correctly.

    Had to RBR.

    Try as I might, I can not get the HR24-100 to sucessfully send a report. They always end up with error 3.

    I want to blame it on my router, but the HR20-700 right next to it, hooked to the same switch, then to the router sends reports just fine.

    The router in question is a DLink 655 with 1.33 firmware.

    I have the very same router and do not have that problem.

    The last time I did...I found the DNS address had somehow been "changed" after a CE update (long time back)...plugging in the right DNS address has worked fine ever since.

    Your talking about the DNS settings on the HR right? All "appear" to be set to the ip of the router. 192.168.0.1 VOD & MRV work on the 24, just won't send reports.

    I'll have to fiddle with it a little later today.

    Yes..DNS on the HR unit.

    My DNS on all HR units are the same...just the IP addresses are different. I use fixed IP addresses.

    Woke up this morning to the grey screen again, but this time changing channels and instant replay button did not snap it out. All channels had the grey screen, but menus worked just fine, which is how I was able to submit a "before reset" report. Menu reset restored it.

    I was Watching a recording from my HR21-200 with latest ce, 40 minutes in to 2 hour program, message popped up recording froze.
    " network had been disconnected. Play list no longer available. "
    I sent report in, then I continued to watch program without reset for about 8 minutes longer then froze up again, said do you want to delete?
    I menu reset, and continued on without any problems for rest of playback.

    Several shows are missing from my playlist (MRV). The receiver where they are recorded is listed in the status screen, however.

    Unit froze up on Wednesday morning after trickplay use, I let it sit until Thursday Afternoon and it was back to live tv but no audio. I did a menu restart and then sent report.

    This is the same problem I have had with other CE downloads and I do not have it with my other receivers.

    HR24-100 SWiM-8 AM21 Cat5 HDMI

    While using HR24-100 as a client for MRV at 9:00PM CST when 4 recordings were ending and 3 recordings were starting I got about 10 seconds of very small video glitches and very short audio drops. This was the only traffic on the network and may still be a network problem but I have never noticed this when I wasn't using the AM21 for recording.

    Had a similar issue with just two OTA recordings involved and the HR24-100 as client, but I reported it over in the 3D8 issues thread, because I'm pretty sure my particular problem was a server (HR20-700) issue. The HR24-100 wasn't recording anything, just acting as a client.

    Ok, went to watch BBT via MRV from an HR20-700. Recording started, had video for about 2 seconds and screen went black. Replay did not fix it. Remembered I had hooked up component so I switched inputs on the AVR and picture came back.

    Switched back over to HDMI, and picture came back for 2 seconds and was then gone again. Switch back to component and had picture back.

    Finished watching BBT and then watched a Bones and everything worked fine. But during this, I would switch back to HDMI to see if it had corrected itself and each time I got video for 2 seconds and then black screen.


    Follow-up

    Report: 20100513-2CEE

    Shut everything down for the night with my universal remote after the previous issue. Last night powered everything back up and the default is to use HDMI with the HR24. So nothing had changed except the Denon 3806 had been powered down as had the HR24. When everything powered back up, had a picture via HDMI. There had been no reset.

    So I watched the Celtics/Cavs game for about 15 minutes waiting on the wife to join me. When she got there, I went to watch a recorded Survivor and before it even started, the screen went black, but still had audio. Replay didn't fix it.

    So I swapped to component/optical. Got my picture back, but lost audio. At that point, I sent the report and reset the unit.
