I was also very surprised to receive push on H24-700 at 11:18 p.m. e.s.t.
I couldn't turn my head fast enough, only to see the push started not much after the c.e.
Wow! Great work on the " guys " or men in black, to have such a great ce nite for me personally. I think the best ever here!
The H24-700 did stop on the acquiring data screen ( black one ), for about 3-4 minutes, a first for me,but all flawless..

    Good Point.

My HR24-100 is not run through a A/V Receiver but is connected via HDMI so I leave DD on in the audio settings, I wonder if I turned it off if I would be able to get Audio back. I'll have to try next time it goes out.

K-Mart tires will work on a Rolls Royce...only not quite with the same results. :D

CE pushed to my H24-700 last night. Watched a little MRV via home network/HR20 (while I still can for free) with no hiccups to report. Looking good thus far.

Still no joy on getting the HR24 to send a report. Always ends up with error code 3. This is starting to piss me off. Every other networked receiver can send reports just fine.

I had that a while back on my H24 in the previous test group.

When I re-did the dish setup, the problem vanished and never returned.

Not sure if that's the issue there, but the error code is the same one I saw back then.

Not having a good time with my HR24 today. Got the push last night, no problem.

But already having the exact same MRV issue I get with each CE. Tried to use the HR24 as server and got the "Playback failed, no audio/video data packets received from the server" message.

Had to RBR the HR24 then when it was back to live TV I put it back into standby since I was going to be in the other room using the HR23. Came into the room with the HR24 this evening to start using it. The TV came on but NOT the 24.

It showed it was recording, although nothing was scheduled. I went ahead and did the RBR. It came back up to live TV. A movie I'd had on the TDL that ran between 6:55PM and approximately 9:something PM had only recorded three minutes.

So I figure the 24 locked up three minutes into the movie. First time that's happened.

Also my internet mysteriously stopped working early this evening. No internet at all, not the computer, Sony or either DVR. Even the IP address on the HR23 was incorrect all of a sudden. I reset modem and router to no avail. My network is hardwired via ethernet.

Was going to call my ISP but the whole thing suddenly started working again. Strange day.

PS. Did have to re-set up MRV on the HR23 once the internet came back. Everything was ok on the 24 the IP address hadn't changed on that DVR.

I wonder if those with HR24-500s are seeing the same thing with TrickPlay. I haven't heard anything out there about it, but the thought just popped into my head.

It's sure sounding like you're having some issues around your network setup, equipment, or connection - stuff beyond the HR24, but that can certainly impact MRV operation.

When I finally got the Whole Home DVR Service activated here - nothing here needed to be reconfigured or reset on my end - no longer with any reference to the beta - it just got turned on at DirecTV, and the menus on all devices here (H21, H24, HR21, HR20, and HR24 all got "reset" on their own after about 1 minute.

Well, I am still on the beta and at D* website if I look at the Whole Home section, it is still telling me "Not eligible".

Did you folks see Doug's post regarding the issue on Choice Xtra+HD+DVR package users?

I had that package too, and as soon as I followed his steps to "reconstruct" that package with individual parts instead of the "package", it made activation immediate and easy. Of course...without the "package"...I now pay a buck more for service.

    Is this the only solution?

Sorry I meant to quote hdtvfan0001's last post.

Not sure on that one buddy. My network crashed hard after the push also. Resetting everything didn't help until I pulled the plug on the Hr24 which was locked up tight. Then my network recoverd and tyhe hr restored back

My MRV is working fine, so I'm not too concerned about what's showing on the web site. If at some point MRV gets turned off, I'll just call DirecTV, since they performed my MRV install.

I have the MRV pause/audio loss bug again, this time after using 3 consecutive 30skips. No replay involved. Seems like things are going backwards.

I think I am going to hold off on the DirecTV install until I decide to add another tuner, right now I am at 8 tuners and it doesn't pay for me to get a new SWiM-8 (I already have one.) and Deca. I'll just wait to get it all installed with a SWiM-16, then I'll keep my SWiM-8 as a back-up.

Is my only solution to getting MRV to change my package?

If you have a package that has HD built into it (Choice Xtra HD DVR), then it would seem so. For whatever reason, the system is not seeing that you have HD service enabled. Go on-line and look at the services you can add. If it shows HD as not activated, then it is going to cause a problem when trying to activate MRV.

Does anyone know if the H24 is capable of running TVApps? I keep getting a "TV APPs not initialized" message when I try to use it.
