    i've had this hr24-500 for about a month and have had it freeze up a couple of times and have had to reboot it. i was told a newer software was being tested and have been waiting to see if this will correct a few bugs with this reciever. is newer software being tested? if not will call dtv to replace/exchange it. otherwise been happy with it. much faster then anyone i've had. been a customer with dtv since 1996 so i do get good service from dtv when i call to complain about anything.

    New software is being tested so replacing your receiver will result in another receiver with the same software (issue). The new HR24's are well worth the wait, just be patient.
