HR24 only

    I have an HR24 DVR as my only receiver. I'm trying to get it to connect to the internet for On Demand purposes. I have attached an ethernet cable to the enternet port on the DVR and to my router. For some reason, the DVR is assigned an IP address but then when I try to enable network services it says it's not connected to the internet. My router looks like it should be working so I'm wondering why the DVR isn't accessing the internet Directv resources. Any thoughts?

    I wouldn't worry about Network Services, they don't really do anything. You should see a "Connect to internet" or "Test connection" button you can select. As long as everything comes back fine on that, you're Okay.

    Reset network defaults and try connect now.

    first on an hr24 you should reset the box after using the ethernet jack as the default for the box is to use the Moca connection.After you reboot go to network setup and "connect now" or test using the "test connection" if this all fails then go in and choose "repeat network setup" or try "restore defaults". Use pandora as a test app that it is owrking.
