I believe there should be a line = "DIRECTV® Home Media Center Client $99.00" for each Client (C31-700)
I dont yet have any C31's, but this is what I believe the order should include to insure you in fact are getting the Home Media Center Client/Clients.
What I find interesting are these two separate line items:
Home Media Center Additional TV Installation Free 1 Free
DIRECTV® Home Media Center Client Installation (TV) Free 1 Free
The first seems to indicate the Samsung TV RVU client, but the second one might be the C31.
But no line for the hardware, so i don't think it's not on there.
What are the 12 DMAs?
I once again called directv. He confirmed I am getting 5 TV's hooked up to Directv.
1 Home Media Center
1 HD Receiver
3 Thin Clients
I once again stated I do not have any Samsung TV's. HE said I don't any of those Smart TV's. I am getting thin clients instead.
Not sure what market I am in. I get Cleveland Ohio locals, but live 90 miles south.
True. But, I wouldn't think that the DirecTV system would let a CSR pick the line item for an install of a C31 without adding the C31 to the work order.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's the same line they use to connect Samsung tvs. Has anyone seen a line on one of those installs so we can tell?
Well. It's the same lines that my first work order was word for word. And the techs came telling me about the required Samsung tv.
Of course. These comments came from these techs that also told me they were not technically supposed to do this install. Because they were not properly trained nor certified on this setup.
The way I read your work order they are going to try to install RVU on Samsung TVs. I don't see any C31s on that work order.

What am I supposed to do? The sales reps are selling me this setup. I knew nothing about the slim clients until they were mentioned to me by them. Afterwards I browsed this forum and have learned a lot.

The order is missing the three equipment $99.00 charges and its credits no matter what the C31 is suppose to be on the order - therefore there is no equipment being install. EOS
Ask 'em to point out the $99.00 C31 equipment charges and credits on the order.
Perhaps you are NOT in a test market and the system will not allow order placement of the C31's.....
The people on the phone know nothing about model numbers of anything, Even the work order doesn't specify the actual part numbers you are getting.
Why cant I just talk to an actual installer... please.
So anyways. What obligation am I under with Directv? Am I going to have to settle for a different setup of receivers? Or can I just cancel the order?
Until the install is performed you are under no obligation. If the installer does not have what you want/ordered, don't have him do the install.
The order will have to be modified to change those RVU installations to actual receiver before the installer arrives to your home
Well. The installers today were a no show. Called and actually got an informed person. The c31 are being released on October 11 th I'm my market. I have the install scheduled for oct 13 th.
