On my 44 when I press the one button go back it goes back 4 seconds. My 24s all go back 6. Is there an issue with the 44?

Dont know if this an "issue" as this is the way it has been with the Genies. try either a lower FF or try using 30SKIP instead

No I mean the time for the one button go back just a little. Can't remember the name of the button but looks like a circle with an arrow on the end.

Yes, the timing has been different for some time. One can learn to modify the FF so one doesn't have to use it much!

No, TS means the instant replay, not FF or RWD ⤿

The OP is clear on that, and my point doesn't mean what I guess you think it means! Viz: If you learn to modify your reaction on FF, you'll have to use ⤿ less.

But then you are assuming the TS is using a combination of both. and I am assuming the TS is watching a game and wants to do an instant replay

Ah, you're quite right. I was going on that which was not in evidence. Well, I hope my meandering will help someone!

I agree that it is very annoying - I really miss the 6 second jump back.

So where's the "secret menu" to "increase" the instant replay rewind time?

IIRC, the TiVos had a way to get a longer click forward, don't remember a backward hack.

The one. Thing FIOS sure nailed. You could change forward and backward skip times to a variety of different settings.

    Is the HS17 six seconds?

    Seven.

All of them are seven but there seems to be a glitch where sometimes some people see about 4 on hr44s.

That would be a very pleasant surprise. If it is, that could make me reconsider going to an HS17 and lose two recordable tuners.

It's a true seven seconds for me. I use the running clock on a hockey game to check.

Of course my hr44 was once too.

I'd be surprised to learn that it's even 4 seconds on my HR44. It seems to closer to 2 seconds. I've gotten so used to hitting the replay button 3 times that it really screws me up when in do it when watching one of my HR24's and inadvertently go back 18 (or 21) seconds.
