See also the "Sun and Moon ..." link in my signature below. Once or twice each month you can use the moon's position in the sky to help you "see" where each satellite is located.

I just connected the SWM-8, but it says an instruction about to disable the autodetect function. How to do it if my DVR only shows Signal Strength in the menu?

I only have been able to receive transponder 8 ... but it does not tune anything

Reset the SWM [pull power] and then reboot your receiver. [don't go reading the manual  ]. You should be fine if you don't have the BBC connected.

SWM needs to be powered before rebooting your receiver.

If you are still having problems, post your system configuration/hook up so we can help you further.

Tried, fell 5 trees that I thought were it. Now I have 3 or 4 more that might be it. Wife is getting mad every time I cut one down though :D Just going to wait for the leaves to come in all the way and go out with my compass to see what I get.

Other than 119 my signals rock all in the high 90s to 100 on most days.

From the PI to splitter is there a minimum distance like the 15' between SWM and PI.

I apologize for asking this question again but just I wanted to make sure I explained my wiring diagram correctly. I want to go directly from dish -> 4 wires to WB68-> 4 wires SWM8 the other 4 wires from WB68 would go to receivers. The reason I wanted your opinions I saw a wiring diagram from Weak Knees that shows I should split from the dish to WB68 and SWM8. They (Weak Knees) said the connection would not be reliable in the first example. I really appreciate your help.
