Argh. Day before NFL starts, and the CBS HD affiliate in Indianapolis (which doesn't have an agreement with DirecTV for HD carriage -- thanks LIN) has disappeared from my HR20.

    In the guide, I get:

    8 CBS
    8-2 Weather
    8-3 Radar

... but no 8-1! It's been there properly since I got my HR20; I watched it last night... now it's completely gone. I've done an RBR, antenna re-setup, satellite re-setup, and nothing.

No, it doesn't appear in the antenna setup where you can choose which ones to display in the guide. It is as if it no longer exists. If I plug the antenna directly into the TV, it works fine.

    Ideas?

Don't you have your tv's ATSC tuner hooked to your OTA antenna (as well as the HR20-100)?

Check that tuner to see if the station is still listed in the OTA PSIP; if not, it's the stations 'problem' (but of course it becomes your's). Since broadcast stations are no longer required to have engineers on staff (since 1982, btw) you have to do your own checking and troubleshooting (welcome to 'deregulation').

Anyway, check that out and see what actually gives.

No, I don't have it hooked up to both at once, but I have moved the ant to my TVs ATSC and channel 8-1 is there just fine. No idea why I can't get it thru my HR20 today when it was fine last night (and the last five weeks).

The same thing happened to me. I had to go the antenna set up through the menu and reset the OTA and then set it up again. I don't know why it disappeared but that seemed to fix it.

Thanks jdscrilla -- did this happen today? Unfortunately I've done those things and can't get it back... what zip code are you using?

Clear the OTA settings completely and exit out of that screen. Then go back in and set it back up as if it were the first time. See if that helps.

Glad you guys are all set. OTA if funky and sometimes this happens. I've had it happen on my old HD receivers like the Hughes E-86 for years. I guess I just accept it as something that happens from time to time with OTA.
