iPad App 1.7 crashes

    Never should have updated from 1.6 to 1.7

    The D* iPad app is crashing on 2 iPads.

    The app launches and crashed right after should Retreiving Account Details message.

    I have seen other posts with same prob.

    Anyone here seen the same issue or know of a fix?

    I have powered down, reinstalled. And, no, not jailbroken.

    I see this a lot, I can usually restart the app a couple of times and it starts working.

    You might try flushing the Guide on your receiver(s). To do so, reset the receiver twice within 30 minutes. Best done via Menu reset.

    Your suggestion to fix the crashing D* iPad app is to flush the guide on my HR22 receiver?

    You believe that the app, during its auth seq., hits the receiver, is getting an unexpected result, and killing the app. Interesting idea.

    Also, with many of the DirecTV apps it seems like they don't properly update on the devices. You might want to try deleting the app off the device, then download the new version and install it fresh, or sync to a computer with the new version already downloaded on it.
