On both 95 and 247 I'm getting some really annoying HD video breakup during the NYY-CLE ballgame.

    Anyone else having this issue?

I had thought 95 was MPEG2 and 247 was MPEG4, but maybe they are mapped to the same signal now?

If they are mapped to the same signal, I'd trouble shoot on my end, but if they are both different signals, coming from different sats, it seems weird I'd be having problems on both, especially given that I've never had problems with 95 before.

Recently, my HR20 has been starting to act up again, so it might be a hardware issue.

I'm getting strange activity with both ESPN HD channels...206 & 73. Channel pixelates, drops and says 727 - not available in your area for a couple seconds and then comes back. Repeats every 5 seconds or so.

    No issues with ESPN SD...

no it's damn directv choking. yuck.

i still get the nasty f***ing pixelation. i've switched out all my coax from the multiswitch on and it still is blowing chunks.

more annoying (is it possible to have something more annoying than pixelation?) it now takes between 7 and 20 seconds to change channels on my HR20 even using component and having native off using 1080i only.

    any ideas?

arod is choking much much harder than the pitchers btw.

Well, I just switched out the B-band converter with a brand new one form the box, let's see how that goes.

I also switched out one on an H-20 that I had that wasn't picking up the new MPEG4 channels and now it's working.

Is it possible that lots of B-band converters are bad?

Well i'm not prepared to declare victory yet (even against the spankees), but so far the new b-band converter is resulting in smoother video.

    also, quicker channel changes.

    get me some SWM!

I saw some minor pixelation during the game as well, but it appeared to happen mostly when the video was from handheld cameras by a guy running on the field to get a closeup of a specific player. I figured it was a communication problem from the handheld camera and not probably from the TBS broadcast or D* transmission.

No, 95 is always MPEG2 and 247 is always MPEG4.

Also, a few days ago, the audio and video were out of sync on TBS HD.

Nah mine's perfect. I guess we can blame the problem on Joe Torre since he was causing those pixelation problems last night in trying to block us from watching his Yankees lose.
