We lost all our HD channels, has a DirecTV slide up. Was curious as to whether anyone knew anything, or if other markets were affected.

If you have lost all your HD channels (not just locals), it is not a local or market problem and I can assure you all HD channels are not out.

I'm seeing no problems in my market (Seattle). Most likely you have a dish or alignment problem. If you have an SWM system, possibly the power inserter has become unplugged.

Since he's seeing a DIRECTV slide, it does not sound like an equipment problem on his end.

In Cincinapolis market here. Locals were out. I'm watching OTA news so I'm not sure if it's back yet. I had the other HD channels.

The issue is HD locals only. Given its the HD locals that are out and a slide is up, I'm assuming the issue is with the local collection center uplink. Although, SD still works.

Hopefully, its a short-lived issue. It would be nice to know the cause and timeline for getting the service back online.

No, when I said we lost our HD channels, I meant locals. My signal on the main transponder is 96. I was just curious if it was limited to our market or not.

Cincinnati Locals are out likely due to a Fiber Cut on Hamilton Ave.
This happened about roughly 10:00 am this morning.
Cincinnati Bell tells me it was a major cut , mentioned OC48's Ten Gig Trunks etcetera.
Quite a mess they have on their hands.

Interesting, so would this affect other carriers? I haven't seen anything posted by Cincinnati Bell in terms of their TV service affected. Weird that SD isn't affected, but then I don't get much involved on how that part of things work.

sd locals work fine for me so I doubt it is a cable issue, unless sd locals are received differently than hd locals.

It's very possible that they are handled differently, and different providers get the HD channels differently. But that explanation would need to come from someone with more knowledge on how these things work than me. But @DirecTVservice says they are not sure of the cause. Which may or may not really mean anything.

I have confirmed this, and it was more than OC48s. Both fiber and copper were cut, the FCC got involved as well. Things didn't get fixed until 4:45 this morning.

    Caused by a construction crew.
