Didn't you mean billion? I think a lie that cost 5 billion is bigger than a lie over BJ! But of course you can get someone impeached over a BJ uggh? Billions of dollars isn't a problem though.

    Thanks Happy and Timco.

This is just more proof that Jesus was a liberal. No one was better at answering a question with a question than he was. :D

2 of my favorites are Willie Horton, and the "born again" woman executed on his watch as governor. Can't recall the specifics of the Texas Rangers' Stadium but that is fertile ground. And the oil companies he had a hand in, we can find all sorts of lies there if we choose to look. Etc. etc ad nauseum.

Of course we do have to admit that in many cases W doesn't lie, he just refuses to say ANYTHING. Or at least nothing that makes any sense at all.

Oh good grief. Willie Horton again. You may not have been around for this Fritz, but we had this discussion a few months ago. There was no lie. Those that claimed there was a lie could not come up with proof of any lie at all. So strike that one off your list, PLEASE.

Ok, if you strike off your list "John Kerry voted against every major weapons system," since at the very least this is misleading if not an outright lie, since so did the majority of Republicans and was pushed by Dick Cheney.

Yep, just the other day Cheney in one of his diatribes on the campaign money trail kept repeating over and over how Kerry voted against certain weapons systems. That was true in and of itself, but what Cheney failed to mention is that he, as Secretary of Defense at the time, lobbied extremely hard AGAINST the same weapon system as being ineffective and unnecessary. Talk about your hypocrites!

Those that claimed there was a lie could not come up with proof of any lie at all. So strike that one off your list, PLEASE.

The purported lie: Bush said he had nothing to do with Willie Horton.

The facts: Bush campaign members were in contact with those who produced the Willie Horton ad. Coordination between the two groups is a crime. The personel involved stated however the contact was innocent and unrelated to campaign strategy.

The judges: A politically split FEC panel, who opened up the Willie Horton investigation with a limited scope, and closed it again upon realizing no concensus could be reached.

So you are right. No "proof" exists. But republicans certainly did all they could to make certain if the proof was there it couldn't be heard.

Let's see, he's not compassionate. He's not a conservative. He's only liberal when it comes to spending money and cutting taxes. I don't know what he is. Why do you want to vote for him?

GWB conjured the Willie Horton ad when he was working on his father's 1988 campaign. It was the liberals in Mass. that are all in favor of letting mother rapers and father stabbers out of prison!!!! Well, is it? Nope, it was a previous REPUBLICAN administration in Mass. that started the prison furlough system there.

As I mentioned earlier, the scurrilous-ness of the ad is secondary to Dukakis' lame reaction to it.

Now it is revealed that, though the Bush/Cheney campaign has repeatedly made the claims that John Kerry is beholden to "special interests" because he has accepted so much money from lobbyists, the fact is that Bush and Cheney have accepted multitudes more money from multitudes more lobbyists than has Kerry. The Bush/Cheney political ads have accused Kerry of taking money from HMOs, Tobacco, Insurance companies, lawyers... yet after looking at their campaign financial records for the same period of time, those SAME GROUPS have given Bush/Cheney double, triple, even quadruple the amount of money given to Kerry. Does Bush/Cheney and their goon squad have no shame?

Shame? Of course Bush has no shame. For the same reason he can't see that he has made any mistakes. God has "called/chosen" him to be president, so whatever it takes is ok.

You seem passionate with your hate of GW but wheres the proof? You are well versed in the lib talking points. As to dividing the country that is sport of the libs. GW has done everything but "put out" to move on after the election but has been attacked at every turn. He has not used his VETO powers and let alot of lib legislation get by. He has put up with repeated delays and refusals of his judicial nominations while the dems engaged in some sort of pissing match. Go ahead and sell yourselves to the devil and I will be taking comfort in knowing that you are a bunch of closed minded misled flip floppers who care nothing about reality and are willing to send your country up the river in order to settle what ever grudge it is that you have.

I counted three items. The "etc." means there's more. I'd best characterize that as a "list."
