So, what plans does everyone have for July 4th? Considering that it is a mid-week holiday, it would make things interesting this week. Hmmm.... do I sense a POLL QUESTION?

As for me, I'm still in "hoard Paid Time Off" mode, so the only day off is Wednesday. But, it would not surprise me if people make it a five-day weekend, or even take the day off.

Might take the 4th off, haven't decided yet (but on call regardless).

Either way, we're not doing a thing.

Have the day off, but like every other day on call. Not really planning anything. Was considering going to the 4th celebration in Blue Ash Ohio, their main act for the free entertainment is Huey Lewis and the News. But don't think the forecasted eat is really my thing. Our local water tower will have a flag motif lit up using Christmas light, will probably go to that.

I'm one of those who have a weird schedule. For the most part I have the week off unless something goes wrong which I doubt will as we currently at end of life for our product and it is not very likely the company will devote much effort into fixing anything (but hey, there is always a first).
Mrs. Fluffybear works the entire week (PM on the 4th) so the most we might get to do is get out to the 4th of July parade but with this heat wave, no promises on that either.

Well, I thought I'd be off through Tues. and would be back at work on Wed. I just found out though that I need to go to work tomorrow and that might also turn into Tues as well. Man, this stinks.

Dont feel bad. I havent had a vacation day in 5 years, and am on call every weekend, and the only days of the year I absolutely dont have to work are Thanksgiving and Christmas day.

Eh.. it happens. My schedule changes pretty often, but is very flexible for my needs as well. So, when it changes for the worse, I can't complain too much.

I gotta stay home and keep an eye on my drunken neighbor who insists on building bonfires in his back yard and setting off tons of fireworks. Nothing like a drunk with fireworks.

Nothing here. I have the day off but just plan to relax. There wont even be any evening entertainment, with the fire conditions in Colorado all personal fireworks are banned and most of the professional shows have been cancelled

I'm off all week. My normal day off is Monday. I originally took Tuesday off, but then said screw it I'm taking the whole week, plus I need to burn some vacation time anyways.

Going to my parents for a BBQ, my nephew will be in town.
