Also, do I have to pay to replace a broken or not working correctly box?

I'm in Nevada, is it true I have a 30 day cancelation window?

Getting glitches here and there, is that normal while everything loads up?

24 hour grace period for cancelation not 30 days, receivers are leased so they're replaced free, except for a 19.95 shipping fee if you don't have the protection plan, if you have the protection plan it's completely free for replacement, also there's a 90 day warranty on installation and receivers.

Thanks, if I went into an AT&T store, would they waive the fee?

Freezing for a few seconds every 15 min or so.

I got the C61K, two genie mini and HR-54

When we switched to HD from SD receivers 1 of them was bad. It would blank out the screen every few minutes. I called, they came back the next day with another receiver and it worked excellent from 2009 to 2017 when it died.
They will fix it if you call them and explain what it is doing.

No. You should be getting your local channels from California where you are located.

You only get your area's locals not the distant networks, CBS east is a distant network

No, only a directv retention agent can disconnect an account, att store reps can't

I think the fee he is talking about is the 19.95 shipping and handling you previously mentioned.

Or, can you take a defective unit to a local store and get it replaced?

Did your installer leave you their name and number? If so, call them and have them come back. If no number, call DIRECTV and get a service call. This freezing isn't normal.

Interesting, I could have sworn they only had east channels. Can I pay extra for them?

With an RV account (and they require a vehicle title to get that) or if you live in an area not serviced by locals, you can get the distant networks. Very few places in the US qualify for distant channels.

Maybe , I didn't think if that, but no you can't go to an att store for a replacement either

From what I read there are 2 ways to get them.
    1. If you do not get local channels ( none available in your area ).
    2. If you have an RV account.
Call them and ask them to be sure.
