The menus on DIRECTV sure have a small font. Much smaller and not as bold of a font compared to dish.
Does anyone know of a way to change the font size?

I have a used 508 dish DVR box for sale, clean working card.

That's a losing battle - most of us up here have been dying for an HD menu presentation, which will likely make the font size appear even smaller.

Or, was that just a fluff leading into your for sale advertisement?

Don't sit 20' away from your 22" display.

Directv's boxes do not have options for changing the font sizes or colors in the menus or guide. Are you viewing on a smaller, non-HD set?

What size tv are you using? I've got a 42" and a 60" HDTV and I actually would like the GUI redone to make the fonts smaller to fit more guide/info in the screen.

I gave up on that a while ago. Seems like we have so many good ideas that nobody ever heeds. But, if Stuart Sweet hadn't posted about the fact that the GUI was in SD, I would have never known it. Ignorance is bliss, sometimes....

Up until recently I had poor vision and I used a cheap pair of kid's binoculars to see the guide. Hope that helps you. Had cataract surgery and now have 20/25 vision.
