anyone have any ideea why I cannot DVR or watch Lakers games on FSW?
i get message 721, channel not authorised even though I do have the Sports Pack which includes all FSNs.

This only happens during the Lakers NBA games. I get the few minutes before the game and the show after the game but the game itself is blacked out.

I live in Chicago (if that matters at all)

Do you have NBA League Pass? If not, you are not going to be able to watch or record the Lakers' games on FSWHD with just the Sports Pack.

no, I don't have the NBA Pass.

is it only the Lakers games or all NBA games on the FSN networks?

I can record/watch Lakers games on other channels like TNT, ESPN or NBA, though.

EDIT: I guess you cannot watch any NBA games on the FSN networks if you do not have the NBA Pass. Just tried he Celtics game and same thing, message 721 on CSNHD. sucks

All pro sports on the 600s that are out of market require NBA-LP, NHL-CI, or MLB-EI.

I signed up for the League Pass halfway thru the season for $99. Great deal if you're an NBA fan, especially if you have HD.

I signed up, believe it or not, so my mother-in-law (who lives with us) can watch the Lakers!

Only 75%? Not sure I remember when I have tuned in a game that was not in HD for at least one team this season.

that is not HD. there is only one HD and that's full screen.

btw, $99 is way too much on top of paying for D* service. I would never pay that.

I have a larger problem receiving the KCAL games on DirecTV and I am supposedly in the Lakers TV territory, I can say the same thing about the Dodgers.

KCAL is a local, independent (but owned by KCBS) station for the Los Angeles market. Since you are in Las Vegas, you will only get Las Vegas locals. You may get the FSN West home games as part of your Regional Sports Net, but not the away games on KCAL. You will also not get the Angel games that are on the other local KCOP.

Without LP for the Lakers you can still get about 1/2 the games between ESPN, ABC, TNT, NBA TV, WGN, and your local RSN (if you’re not in LA). Helps that they are so popular...

Again, almost never can you not get at least one team's broadcast in HD. Nowhere near 75%. More like 95% are in HD.
