Is anybody else watching this show? It's about a group of athletes that travel to foreign countries and play sports that the tribal cultures of those countries play. They have done wrestling, endurance races and so on. It's pretty interesting to see what is considered sport in some of these countries and how people of these tribes, that are half the size of the athletes, do much better than the athletes. The most recent episode had little guys carrying logs on their shoulders that weighed anywhere from 50 to over 200 lbs and running like the wind.

I'm watching it; however, I believe the initial trailers looked more interesting than the actual show.

Personally, I think the "athletes" are given some leeway in competing, which in my eyes waters down the premise. E.g. wider bottom canoes for the canoe race challenge vs. what the actual tribesman use.

Not sure I'll watch season two, if there is one that is.

Right now Everest: Beyond the Limit is, at least imo, is the best show on Discovery.

They definitely change the rules somewhat for the athletes. In the recent episode they only carried the log for less than a quarter of the length of the race and the tribe members carried it the rest of the way until the very end. I just find the "games" themselves to be interesting to see and really haven't been too impressed with the athletes themselves.
