I live in Buffalo, NY and our RTN affiliate went off the air. RTN is now on channel 2.3 which is a sub of our NBC affiliate.

Does Directv have any plans to carry the "sub" number channels? If they don't and I hook up an external antenna to receive the channel can I tape the programs on my HR21 receiver?

    Thanks for your help.

If you want to be able to record the OTA locals, you will need to add an AM21 to your HR21. You can find it on the D* website for $50. I doubt D* will add RTN to your programming anytime soon. One question, you show that you have an HR20. If you already have an OTA antenna, you should be able to record this channel on the HR20?

BTW, you can't "tape" anything with the HR21. :)

Sorry, I had to say it. :D

What HR do you have? Your signature says HR20 yet the post has HR21.
