DirectTV has a message stating that they are in negotionions with ny FOX carrier ( Rayciom) and the possible loss of the channel. They claim that tha they would carry the channel while talks are going on.With the Super Bowl around the corner( I am having a party). If they drop FOX I would be up Sh...Creek. Anybody here anything on this problem D* tells you tells you to go to directv.com/alerts. I found this useless. Any new info out there???

Being in Cincinnati, our Fox Raycom as well. But my main TV is on a HR22, so would need to either switch boxes, or buy an AM21 and antenna. Much better to not have to deal with it.

This was the final straw for my move to DISH last week. Can't be happier.

You could ask D*to send you an AM21(which they will at no charge) which connectes to the HR22, this would give you locals(of course to would need an off air antenna, and the cable form the antenna would attach to the AM21, which has a USB cable that connectes to the HR22....

You have to go with the provider that gives you what you want. Now that your a DISH customer, enjoy posting in their forum. Please do us a favor and don't be like a couple other posters, that come to the DIRECTV forum, just to stir things up.

You may have gotten a free AM21, but not everyone does. In fact, I doubt if very many do.

From your location, look west and you can probably see the Fox 29 tower.
Old fashion rabbit ears connected to your TV tuner input will certainly pull in Channel 29, just be sure to SCAN for channels with our TV remote if you go that route.
