    Creepy.

Are they talking about an RVU TV or the new wireless mini?

The fine print at the end of the commercial implies that they are talking about both.

Then they should fix that since the TV clients require a wired network connection, you try to use the sets wireless adapter and you get message saying it must be wired.

That is not an advertisement that would make me want to switch to their service, More likely the opposite.

    Hey! Great news!!

The CSR called me back and said she would 'pull a few strings' and give me the NFL Red Zone next season for no charge if I came back! I took the deal!!

The Genie itself can be either wired (HR34 and HR44) or wireless (HR44) for the internet connection. The wireless Genie Mini has its own wireless video bridge, using its own wireless network, and doesn't need any internet connection at all to function, unless you want to make use of internet based features like DIRECTV on Demand, TVApps, Pandora or YouTube.

I Like DTV but that is kind of deceptive. You would still see the HDTV power cord and the Ethernet wire, maybe even see the DECA adapter. The only time you wouldn't see wires is if a person mounted the other HDTV's in the home to the wall. Like the ad says you would also still need a Genie on one TV. Even if DTV did go video over Wifi you might still see the HDTV's power cord.

and how is DirecTV deceiving you on that? is YOUR "job" to hide that power cord. :nono2:

Because the ad said no wires. The power cord is a wire. Plus the ad doesn't say how much it would cost to hide the wires behind the HDTV and mounting the HDTV on the wall.

I know some folks are dense, but not THIS dense. :nono2:

So you expect for DirecTV to mount the TV for you as well, since is mounted on the wall?

No I wouldn't expect DTV to do that but the ad makes it look like DTV will do that.

No it doesn't and nobody would likely assume such.
