I found this impressive so I thought I'd share it here.

People do seem to use dash cams more in other places resulting in video like this.

I think that would be a 9.7 on the "Crap My Pants-O-Meter" if I'd been in that car.

    Wow! Just wow!

How about how much the car moved just from the impact from the water/mud hitting it?

I saw this on thew late news last night. At first, I thought it was on Interstate 40 in NC, near the Tennessee line, since there hav e been so many rock slides in that area. Then the anchor said where it occurred. Scary, indeed! How many people have dashcams in their cars?

It appears that in many countries a lot. I started looking at them on Amazon again. They're cheap enough one could have four - front, back, and both sides - if you could figure out how to mount them. But they could be awfully distracting.

They're popular as anti-accident-fraud insurance. When that skyburst happened in Russia some time ago, the number of dashcams really helped the research on it. I later saw a story about WHY there are so many in Russia and it's because people jump in front of cars and pretend to be hit so they can shake down the driver for money - and these cams are the defense against that. On The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, they had montages of *hysterically funny* clips of people literally jumping on the hood of a stopped car or flailing around when not even TOUCHED by the vehicle..
