The only channel I openly complain about is CSN Northwest, and that's just Comcast extorting DirecTV lol.

I'm so elated that EVERY game will now be in HD that getting a mix channel will be icing on the cake. I'm ecstatic right now, thank you Directv.

Good news about Tru-TV in HD then :)

Now I foresee the rants about the fact that TruTV HD will be taken down again after the NCAA. :D

At least we now know it will be added full-time later this year.

Don't we first need to speculate endlessly over whether it WILL be taken down right after the madness? [or has that been stated by DirecTV?]

And don't forget those who'll complain about it being added (when, if and as) full time as their fav. is left out....

And if it's a good (HD) mix - taking up most of the screen, rather than the crappy mix channel they've had previously.

I'm rather thinking that that'll be a function of the HD guide once that's released. Currently, the larger the screen is, the crappier the picture, as there just aren't enough pixels to go around.

Must we be children? No need to point out who was right and who was wrong. :nono2: Let's just be Happy that D* listened and gave some of us what we desired. Isn't that good enough? :hurah:

You were the one who repeatedly blamed everyone but DirecTV for not carrying the channel and thought the channel wasn't worth adding. Do you completely lack the ability for reasoning and logic or are you just a troll?

Don't let this trick you. They weren't right. They thought it was "unfair" and a "step backwards" that the NCAA allowed every subscriber to every television service to watch all the games. They attacked TruTV and the idea that it should be carried in HD. Now that DirecTV clearly agrees with those of us that thought they should carry the the channel, certain trolls act like it's their victory even though DirecTV is doing something they said was stupid 24 hours ago. Those posters are the very example of people who lack intellectual integrity and only want to defend their side. This is a victory for every DirecTV customer, especially those who complain about their service not living up to the promise.

    Huh??

On 2/24 in the HD poll thread, you stated the below as if it were fact:

"No truTV for the tourney. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I don't want to see anyone get their hopes up for something we already know isn't happening.
    "

So back then we already knew for sure it wasn't happening... Of course it was your opinion, but as is typical, you stated it as fact. In different threads on multiple occasions. So would you be the first one to walk back from your statements about this topic?

He probably based it on Satelliteracer's comments, which are usually spot on. On those same lines, and as Sat has said before, things change.

I blamed one of the other parties involved for causing a snag and now it appears that it has been worked out. DirecTV wanted to do this, someone else disagreed, and now they've come to an agreement. Why is that so difficult to understand?

I honestly don't have an issue with whether he or anyone else is right or wrong about their personal opinion. It's when that opinion is posted in a condescending way as if it were fact, rather than just a personal opinion. Especially when those posts get people up in arms as if it is fact, then said person immediately posts that they should all be apologetic because it got them irritated...

Yes, I said it wasn't coming. That is what we were told. That was not my opinion, as you suggest. Satelliteracer told us it was not coming. My statement was based on that fact. At the time when he told us that, it appears that a potential deal had fallen apart. Now it appears to have been resurrected and completed. I have no comments to walk back. Everything I said was based on actual information available at the time. We have evidence of DirecTV plans for this. We were told it was not going to happen. Now we find out that they have worked through their differences. Slow down and read carefully.
