Spot on...not bad for a Pats/Celts/Sox fan.
(All in fun, hil, you're a good dude.)
Hey, I've been around long enough to have a pretty good handle on your sarcasm.
That, and any chance to use the word 'snarky'.
Just don't call a channel "wicked awesome."
How about a Scholastic Press channel? Wouldn't that qualify?
Looks like the Festivus Pole just became flaccid again
If it's ShortsHD, it is yet another DirecTV fail in my opinion.
That is all.
It's not something I'd watch but since there are others who will, I'm don't think it could be called a fail.
There are those who express their opinion, good or bad, on a channel addition, and then there are those who praise DirecTV no matter what, and call anyone with a different opinion a whiner. They want to shut down all dissent. I like DirecTV, but they're not perfect. ShortsHD is a rather lackluster addition.
All true. However, compaining about DIRECTV not adding a channel you want is more valid than complaining about adding a channel you don't want.
Whiner: Loyal totally dissatisfied DirecTV customer.
Discuss the topic and not each other....Seriously.
Why? Would you rather not have the channel at all? I mean no one forces you to watch it. I won't watch it, but there are probably a 100 channels I don't watch.
I just don't get why it would be a "fail" if they add a channel to the HD Extra pack. They have the capacity for many more HD channels, so you'll eventually get what you are looking for. Eventually.... "soon".
No, my point is that DirecTV should never have negotiated for this channel in the first place. Nobody asked for it. If they had all of the channels people actually wanted, and then they added this channel, fine. But there are other channels in line, and ShortsHD just took away a spot.
How do you know nobody asked for it? I'm sure the directors/actors/crews, some of which might be DirecTV subs, of the films want the channel added so viewers could see their artwork.
Nobody asked for it? Care to provide any proof of that?
I agree with that.
I have found myself tricked by that. In particular the Bad Day at Black Rock version on Netflix.
They do but you get a lot of good stuff, too. FEARnet is channel run on the cheap from what I can see. That means more badness.
I am not seeing that this time.
As for ShortsHD, I will wait until I see it before I judge it. There are channels I know I like and looked forward to them being in HD. There are channels I know I didn't like and don't care about them in HD (my stance on AMC is pretty well known). But how do you judge a channel you never saw and one that delivers programming that is pretty unique so it is hard to judge (easy to judge ESPN-U even if you never saw it)?
I may love the shorts on SHD. I may not. How can I know yet?
A spot from what?
