Ha, my oldest one is back from college and will be working until 9:00 then heading up with his buds. My 16 yr old will be sniping people on the 360 playing COD Warfare.

MarioKart is sooooo beneath them... That means I get the big screen to myself!! :hurah:

My son had tried playing MK a few times before, but really just got into it a month or so back, when I started "racing with my friends" on Friday nights.

One morning, we didn't have anything going on and the youngest was asleep, so we pulled out 3 controllers, mom played with 'the boys'.

After a few minutes, with the 4 way screen up there, my son looked at us and said "We need a bigger TV so we can play Mario Kart on it!" (We already have a 52" in a relatively small living room!)

I know, right! It is funny, we sit next to each other racing and we bump one another like we're in the cars, it is a great time!

We looking into building a home before we bought the place we're in, and down the road may build our own home.

If that happens, the plans we found are for a 4 level house. About the same height as a 2 story house, but it's split levels so no staircase is more than 4 or 5 steps to the next level.

We had plans for that basement!!! Including some sort of 'video wall' with multiple LCDs - maybe 6 in the 42" range - so that you could have some cool video game parties down there, and still keep up on the Sharks game at the same time! There's just something about having your own screen when you're playing that's so much more fun than the split screen!

We were figuring by the time our little guy got to Jr. High, if we had a basement game room like that, ours would be the house everyone wanted to hang out at! (and since the master bedroom would be 2 stories up on the opposite end of the house, that was just fine!)

I concur, I was contemplating getting at least one more Wii, so we can have two licenses online at once...with more screen room. :)

Anyone else have a hard time getting in Friday night? I wasn't on time for the first race but tried thereafter.

I saw that AJ (or was it milkman?) was hosting a race. Get the pinkish smiley face saying he's there, go to join and it says something like 'you are unable to connect to this race, please try again later'.
