What a nice tool. MLBEI on D* is awesome.
Maybe they have some difficulties airing these channels during the free preview. They may be on next week in the second week like last year.
tonight it says Padres/Dodgers blacked out. I don't understand.
It's on for me in Ohio.
Ok it's on now. Said blacked out when I first clicked on it. They must have forgot to flip the switch.
Like I was telling one of the others, the channel is blacked out at first because they are showing the previous day's game. and the game starts like 5 mins after 9cst
Det/Tor was listed as HD for all four games, yet none of them were in HD (including today's). As mentioned, we aren't currently getting the Toronto feed.
Just as an aside, there was no coverage in Canada for the Jays on TUesday or Thursday this week.
Starting to really wonder whats going on with DTV if this is just a case of technical problems or what. I have already looked on the MLB EX In schedule for the second week of baseball and still doesnt appear to be any SD4 Padres games so that only tells you both the Comcast Phillies and TSN games area also still not avail. But yet no one seems to be able to get a answer. I even called DTV trying to find out and cant really get told a "straight answer" if they just lost the telecasts or what
Certain games may not be available, as DIRECTV does not carry the RSN for the following teams: Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays
D does not carry them that is true, but they used their game feeds dozens of times. As long as the games are on I am not worried.
I tend to believe the theory that they don't have the fiber lines ready to go yet
If I'm a betting man we will not see these feeds this year unfortunately.
If you think this is bad, just wait until there's 10 games being played yet EI will only get 2 of them. That's not on days when Fox has their games either.
I dumped EI because of this.
DirecTV may be playing games with the feeds. We just don't know yet.
For starters, you'll never get an answer from one of their trained seals they call customer service representatives.
You may have noticed DirecTV is padding the Extra Innings package with WGN feeds, something they've never done before. They're boasting about 80 games a week in their advertising.
DirecTV has never carried Rogers Sportsnet, CBC Sports, 4SD, and most definitely never Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia. Comcast will not allow it. 2008 was the first year, however, that DirecTV did offer game feeds from these networks.
P.S. The new Fox Sports Net graphics suck. Where goes the top-of-the-screen stripe. The big, ugly, bulky box is no good. Rogers and Comcast use a stripe.
So I just went to my DVR program guide and skipped ahead to next week and I see BOTH Mets AND Padres feed now populated in the program guide! It may in fact have been what Ronmort was referring to, that for some reason the 4SD/CSNP/SNET feeds just aren't available for some reason during the free preview.
The first day it shows both feeds for Padres/Mets is actually Wednesday but the first game of the series is on ESPN on Monday. For Phillies/Nationals the program guide has just one feed on Monday, both feeds on Wednesday (including the Phillies OTA My17) and back to just one feed on Thursday. Still no Jays feeds next week.
Incidentally, the first two games of the Padres/Phillies series next week only show one feed each day. Appears it would be the Padres feed Friday in HD and Phillies feed Saturday (OTA) in low-def.
So, looks like as of the 2nd week's schedule that 4SD at least is gonna be available part time, still no Jays feeds, and the Phillies feeds but only when they're not on CSN.
Hope so, cause the SD feed for the Padre/Giant game last night was atrocious.
Amen to that. I'm glad someone else said it cuz I was thinking maybe I was just being an HD snob... or that my daughter had smeared jello across the LCD screen. Again.
Here's the deal with the Padres, Phillies, and Blue Jays feeds for this year.
DirecTV will only use the above teams feed if the team they are playing is not televising the game. The games will not be shown in HD.
For Phillies fans, no Comcast Sportsnet games will be shown. Only those on WPHL will be shown if the other team is not televising the game.
Not sure why the change this year. As a Padre fan since 1976, I'm disappointed that the COX 4 HD games are not included this year. I really enjoyed listening to my teams announcers, even though they lost 99 games last year.
Let's hope that I'm wrong, but unfortunately I do believe my information is correct.
