When will DirecTV release the prices for MLB EI for this season? I know it is probably early, but does anyone have any kind of information as to the price and when it will be available to order?

    Lancaster,...
I would expect the MLB EI stuff to come out around the beginning of March when it normally does... early bird pricing, etc.

Best guess is to use last year's price and add $10 or $20.

The D* rep I spoke to last night didnt have any info yet. I think he said it was $209 last year and that included HD spread out over 5 payments.

I'm thinking last year it was 189 early bird. I'm not positive though. That included hd.

I finally am able to receive Directv, and look forward to getting EI back (had it with Dish, then they took it away!)

So what can I expect? Mainly,
1)Padres COX 4 telecasts at all? Some? Just home?
    2)CSN Philly " " "
    3)CUBS WGN HD in EI???

    And in general...
All home and away feeds for each game???

I'm getting it, but just want to know exactly all the offerings..

all right last year here is what we got:

all RSN games in SD and HD where available
Yankees games not on YES (channel 11 maybe?) were all included in HD as well
I think MEts games OTA were as well I think can't remember for sure
all BlueJays games on Sportsnet Ontario are available in both SD and HD
PAdres games on cox 4 are only available when they are the only team broadcasting the game (or the other team is OTA on a source not already listed)
Phillies games on Comcast sportsnet were also only available when the other team was not broadcasting the game (or on an ota source not already listed above including PAdres games)
Cubs games on WGN come through on WGN and are not in package and directv while rumored to begin carrying it in HD it is not available at this time.

all games before 7pm start time on Fox saturdays are not included int he package nor are the fox games themselves

I am sure I missed something but I got most of the important stuff ... BTW the package is truly outstanding who will enjoy this package a ton

oh and both an sd and hd Mix channel

Yankees games on My9 and Mets games on WPIX 11 were available on the EI package. My pet peeve is that Saturday games on EI usually didnt start until 7pm to protect whatever games FOX had on in the afternoon. Even if there were games at 1pm and FOX didnt come on til 4p, EI didnt come on til 7pm with games.

I really love having EI. Love those NL West games from Az and L.A.

A little off topic, but are pre-season games blacked out, or are they in the clear with the Sports Pack?

In the clear with the Sports Pack, no EI necessary.

They're in the clear however you may get inadvertent blackouts the first day or so. It happens every spring.

I guess we'll still be blacked out of Sat games that start at 1PM ET? That part really sucks. Many Yankee games are 1PM Sat in NY.

Yep, The MLB and Fox don't care about the fans. Therefore, if I can't watch the Rangers on Saturdays, then I don't watch baseball at all during those hours and just go outside instead.

Im a Mets fan and I get screwed because the Mets play alot of 1pm home games on Saturday. They are shown on MLB.TV which isnt bad if you can stand watching games on the computer monitor.

Thats because many of those games where on that horrible channel PeachTv. It look like Wayne and Garth's Camera Crew from Wayne's World were running the show.
