No Oakland/Jays game today on EI? It says check local listings. Does this mean neither team is broadcasting the game? I know the Jays are on local TV today with the new SportsnetOne channel.

    Thanks

Random question here... When you subscribe to Extra Innings do you get free access to MLB TV? With NBA League Pass you get free access to NBA Broadband, which is nice since they show some feeds you don't get on D* and you can use it on the road.

FS West feed of the Angels - Mariners game just went to "this game is blacked out" on both 692 and 747-1.

    SD feed stayed up.

First time I've seen this happen this year.

There is something wierd with this game as the HD RSNs did not show up in the scoreguide either. The Mariners feed is still ok.

It's always the little things with D and MLB blackouts that really hack me off.

Tonight MLB network showed the Twins v White Sox on 213.
Since I'm in Sox territory, I got the Padres v Cardinals on 214-1.

    No problem, until....

At the conclusion of the Cards game, we got the MLBN studio for a bit on 214-1 as the Sox game was still being played on 213.

Then, 2 seconds after the end of Sox game , 214-1 went to the D* slate.

    But did 213 come back?

    Of course not.

And the only reason it matters tonight is because EI does not have the Dodgers v Giants, and MLBN has been showing a lot of that game from the Giants OTA telecast.

Who are the pinheads who push all these buttons?
Have you ever noticed they never err on the side of the subscriber?

Edit: Sox game ended at 23:30 eastern time. It's now 01:15 and "Quick Pitch" is STILL blacked out in Indy. CSR said channel turn off and on is NOT managed by D*.

They both started at 4:10pm eastern which is within the FOX exclusive window so they can't be shown on MLB Extra Innings. Unless you are in that local market and you get it on your local RSN you couldn't get those games.

Both games were part of Fox Saturday Baseball. So the RSN could not have shown it anyway. btw, the Philles game was shown on CSN Philly, since the Philles were max out on Fox. but peoples in Atlanta got the game on there local Fox station.

No SD4 HD telecast for the Padres/Giants game? Game 162, do or Die for Padres fans and they have to watch the Giants homers. WTF Directv?

SD4 / CSN Philly seem to be used only when it's the only feed.

Yeah, they sure wouldn't want to use any of those 30 some-odd open HD slots they've got, even for just a few hours. It would be so much nicer for them if could just run DirecTV without any of those annoying subscribers whining about available, but unused bandwidth, don't you think? ;)

That is incorrect. We had these feeds all season long, the only times we didn't have them was when there was a "lack" of bandwidth (like yesterday).

I'd also like to know who is blackout happy at DirecTV/MLB Network. Few weeks ago I was watching MLB Tonight with the Live Look Ins. Since Comcast doesn't allow their feeds to be seen by anybody in-market not on cable, I've come to enjoy the little things...like the live look ins. Well, this night, MLB Network focused a lot on that particular Phillies game, and it was great, until they decided to show an entire half-inning. Then the blackout restriction popped up and stayed that way long after the game was even over!

I checked a source with cable, and their MLB Network feed was still going on just fine at the time. So let me guess...I got screwed because I have DirecTV, and they didn't get screwed because they have cable and could watch CSN Philly anyways?

Crock. Thankfully there is radio. That always works...anywhere.
