I'm in the middle of a reboot, right now, just to see what my channel line-up looks like.

Hit the Quickchange button this morning for MSNBC - and got a Starz movie in progress.

    Wha?

    What can I say?

Reboot finished and MSNBC is back at 356. Gremlins.

Funny with quicktune channel 355 CNBC was bringing up Mtv2 only on my hr23-700, set the quicktune spot to another channel and then back to 355 and that fixed it.

    manually entering 355 worked fine.

I did a quicktune for MSNBC this morning and got a 721 error. Entered 356 by hand and it worked perfectly.

Both of my HR20-100 units Quicktune to Starz east when I select MSNBC via Quicktune. If I then go to the channel guide, it shows 356 [MSNBC] but selecting it gives me Starz again. I can get MSNBC via keypad. Guess I will reboot.

Because it's a more populist oriented view of the news.

Actually I would wish for D* sometime in the future to carry "BBC World" channel, as it contains lots of news content and it also presents a more balanced news cast compared to others in the USA.

Where is Ted Turner when you need him?

For a news junkie like me - last night was especially frustrating. Just before going to bed, watching local news, they end the show with 'there was a big earthquake in Italy - we'll tell you about it on tomorrow morning's news". Sheesh.

Sweep through all the "news" channels. Not one of them was doing news.

I could watch programs about prisons, history, discussions which were not discussions; but - NO news.

Fortunately, the Web still worked and BBC, as a matter of fact, was up-to-date on the sad news from italy.
