What the heck - do a "double feature matinee" - 2 for 1 !
They already got the Rigas enough. I wonder if Empire Sports Network was still around if they'd be capable of broadcasting the Sabres game in HD.
Too bad Tom Golisano didn't buy Empire Sports when he bought the Sabres.
Sure miss that network.
Right, because they were just 1 year wonders
No doubt the Sabres are the better team right now, but that's not my point. D* employees read this thread and we don't need them distracting the very important HD Rangers need with the obscure HD Sabres need.
Let them focus on the important things, that's all.
traditionally, they are an average team at best.... no way to dispute that.
This post was made in jest. right? If not, that is the most ignorant post I have ever read!
Getting back on topic with this post. If you look in your guide, channel 94 which is normally used for HD broadcasts, shows Devils Rangers for next Thursday, October 25th at 7pm. According to the NHL web site, MSG is the only channel carrying this game in HD.
I am not going to get my hopes up but at least this is encouraging.
Of the NHLs top 10 selling jerseys, how many are Sabres and how many are Rangers? The only NYC team worth anything is the Yankees anyways.
For tonights Sabres home game, channel 94 for me is showing the game with the HD icon. Hopefully they'll actually air it that way. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The games look really nice in HD though :eek2:
(I have both just for that reason....)
I think it is the Columbus HD feed, although it would be nice to be able to see.
In today's USA Today, D* has 5 or 6 full page ads touting the more than 70 HD channels now offered and up to 100 by year's end. The MSG-HD logo is right next to the Universal HD logo. That makes me 100% sure this is coming soon. The ad even makes mention of having more than Dish, Comcast and Cablevision.
Time will tell I guess. Does D* have the Columbus RSN HD up yet? Which RSN covers the Blue Jackets?
I think it would be FSN Ohio HD, Channel 637. Don't know if this is actually there yet in HD. Can anyone confirm?
Typical New York Wanker.
Anyhow, I bet millions of Sabres fans have Direct TV and would love to get the games on MSG in HD.
Hey, I resent that NY comment, most of us, like the rest of the country, didn't even know hockey was still around.
Considering the name of this thread does not contain the word Rangers in it nor does the OP mention the Rangers, I fail to see how you think this is a Rangers only thread?
Perhaps you should go create a thread called "How soon till Rangers games will be on MSG HD on Directv?" and leave all us other civilized posters alone.
As far as I'm concerned, the logo ends any speculation as to "if" it will ever happen. Like you said, Cablevision would sue immediately if the channel launch wasn't imminent.
I think is on both FSN-O (Ohio) and FSN-C (Cincinnati) and I don't believe D* has the HD feeds of either as of yet...so it will be interesting where the HD Feed is coming from.
I want my MSG (NY) HD!
