This seems Head 2 Head deal seems like it might be a total clusterf%&k.

    Well.

It is interesting. Although it took me a while to figure out what the "1st" next to JR's name meant.

    I kid, I kid.

My only complaint is lack of a visual queue to which car audio is active.

I like it a lot actually. Give us more cars to watch at least. Seems like they waste a ton of space tho.

It's actually not too bad. I'm just glad I have a big TV.

How about this battle between the 24 and 48?

You have got to be kidding me. I guess a better pit stop by the 24 team would have gotten out ahead of that mess.

17 to go, this is going to be interesting. That 88's in a good position. Don't think the 31 will be up front for very long.

I watched a bit of the 1/20 channel, and they would change the graphic below the 1 car to indicate they were playing his audio. Got home from work and watched about 40 laps till the wreck.

Pretty sure my bracket is busted, not sure I'd like the dual drivers on a smaller set.

I lost 6 of my 16. My turn 1 and 3 brackets are 100% intact. The big wreck pretty much decimated my other regions. I had the 14 and 24 in my final 4.

I didn't like DTV's change to hot pass this week. Look, others may have a problem with my likes, but I try to watch Juniors camera views whenever he has a channel and listen to his banter with his crew-chief. Having to listen (if that's what it's called) to the crybaby "shrub" was a deal breaker for me. I will grant you that having another drivers camera views was different, but the audio for both was a cluster. Other than an occasional pop-up saying who's audio was being listened to, there were times that I wasn't sure who was who. Plus, there were too many times that no car-to crew-chief/spotter was being broadcast...unacceptable - even if it is free. I know that Junior doesn't talk too much, but even Fox played a portion of his audio that wasn't heard on the hot pass channel. Yeah, it might have been during a commercial and/or while the "shrub" was doing his thing, but still...

If DTV wants to do me (and maybe others) a favor would be to activate the left and right arrows next to the "select" button so we can choose which driver we want to listen to. If they did it and put a highlight around the active drivers video window would be a help. That would come in handy if I was to be watching two of the drivers I like and wanted to switch between them.

I don't want to spoil those wanting to play the contest, but I'm not big on fantasy teams or projecting who the contest winner is gonna be. I'll be a happy camper when all of this mess is over with and we can get back to the "normal" hot pass.

The left and right arrows wont work b/c they already have assignments. The thing they should/need to do is activate the red button like they use to have when they had the audio channel when hotpass wasn't free. This way you could select the audio to hear.
I mean the times the crew audio wasn't being played at all for either driver was wayyyyy too often. At this rate I'll just be happy when this is over and we go back to regular hotpass.
Hell you didn't even hear the spotters tell the drivers to start their engines at the beginning and all the pre race chatter we usually get.

    Great idea but poor implementation.

    Chuck,
You admit most of the time you couldn't tell who you were listening to and admit Jr. doesn't say much. But listening to "shrub" was a deal breaker. Well now that Jr. was beat in the bracket, you will not have to bother cause there won't be a channel! Sorry, but Jr has had an exclusive channel since hotpass' existence, so suck it up for a few weeks. You talk about Kyle being a crybaby.

It seems that people never think their favorite driver is a crybaby. It's always the other guys that are whiners and crybabys. Dale Jr. is known for throwing tantrums on a regular basis but his fans just say he's intense or just wants to win. Same for every driver. My point is that calling a driver you don't like a crybaby is just worthless.

Yes I'm a fan of the 88. Youll never hear me say the words that he does not complain as he does a lot. By no means does he whine as much as Bush does and thats just a fact. Part of it is b/c Bush comes in 2nd so dang much while Jr. is just sittin in top 10s. Bush always rants when he finish's 2nd and doesn't win.

Now with that said, you guys seem to be missing the vital point here. The change in HotPass is down right awfull as far as the implementation they chose to go about it. Not giving the user the choice to select which driver to listen to when your feeding 2 audios is rediculous. Its not hard to implement as they used to do it that way, and would make a lot of people happy.
The jumbled audio b/w drivers combined with the large breaks in any crew audio going on makes the product horrible to listen to b/c you miss so much its frusterating.
I dont see them bringing back the red button option as they haven't even let us have that since it went to being free, but I sure would love to see it return.

D* has probably done about as much as they are going to do. They are providing Hotpass free of charge. At this point D*'s attitude probably comes down to "if you don't like it then turn the channel."

It's included at no additional charge. Not much to complain about there...

Go somewhere else and find it for free or at all for that matter.

And if you've read most of my posts you know i say that most of the time. Its just a shame you can't switch between the drivers audio. I'd pay for it if they just included that option again alone.
