I have the 880 programmed correctly except for the 30 sec skip forward and 6 sec back. Any sugestions. What really bugs me is that I have it correct for the HR20 code base 00001, I just cant get it for the HR21 code base 00003. I think part of my problem is that when I did the HR20, Logitech still had the old GUI and it was relatively easy to correlate buttons. Any suggestions.

Set it up using the device "HR20-700S3" from the Harmony database.

This is one that I setup for the HR20-700 to use the 00003 code base. Works perfectly.

Hmm . . . I programmed mine one time in October when I got it with whatever codebase they were using for the HR20 and aside from assigning softkeys to act as color buttons one time a few weeks later I've never touched it since. It runs the HR21 perfectly, so far as I can tell, including the 30 Sec Skip and 6 Sec Back.

I tried that and it did not recognize the code base 00003 that my box is set to. Instead it started to mess with my HR20 (default codes). Could someone have altered it?

It's possible but I sure hope they didn't because the next time I hook up my Harmony 880 it will hose it.

I think I'll try adding a third receiver to my Harmony set up and try the HR20-700S3 again. Maybe I messed something up when I loaded it the first time. This wil have to wait for a couple of hours as my wife has commandered the system until 9:00PM.

When I set up my TC30 to use the HR20-700S3 code, it also didn't seem to work as a secondary set of IR codes, but I finally got it to work as follows:

I set the DIRECTV remote to 003.
I ran the Confirm IR option on the TC30 and when prompted, pressed buttons on the DIRECTV remote.
After that, the TC30 began using the secondary codes.

My 880 is using the same exact setup as the HR20. Knock on wood, no issues so far.

Well I went in and created a new receiver with HR20-700S3. It looks like someone messed with the codes as it did not control the HR21 when set to 00003. It did change channels on my HR20 which is set to the default factory code set. My HR21 is set correctly as I have the factory remote set up for 0003 and everytning works properly with this remote. You may want to check it to see what's happening.

I found the problem I was having with my custom configuration. Apparently in the activity section , both the replay and skip forward buttons were not configured. Once I enabled then, everything started to work correctly.

I don't know if this will help you guys but in addition to slip and replay I also found that dash and prev were not in the Logitech database when I set up my HR20. You might want to check those specifically.

Another thing if you're new to the 880 - programming the big silver v and ^ buttons for RW and FF increased the WAF of the remote SIGNIFICANTLY. In fact it was Mrs. Shadow's idea and a good one it was.
