I've had DirecTV since I moved into my house 16 years ago. This was before the HOA was set up and the contractor wouldn't allow the dish to be on the roof, so it is on a short pole at ground level. Now, the neighbor's maple tree has grown enough to interfere with the signal. The HOA allows the dish to be on the roof, and there is good visibility from the roof. Also, I was thinking about getting an HD dish to replace the SD Sony dish to be ready when I get around to buying an HD television (and leasing an HD receiver). Should I contact DirecTV to have the dish moved and upgraded, or would it be better to have a local reseller and installer do it?
