I got a report from Paul last night of a new "channel" at 119°. It's called RDRCT on the EPG. I can only guess that means "Redirect". The channel has a slate and elevator music. The slate says: "You must have a second dish to view this channel. Dish Network will provide the dish free of any charge. Call 1-800-333-DISH"

From what I understand, soon all locals available in a particular LIL will show up in the EPG of a subscriber. The way this "channel" works is whenever some one who has only a Dish 500 tries to tune to a channel that is on one of the side slots or 129 only they would automatically be redirected to this channel. This way Dish is informing ALL customers in the area that these channels are available for no extra charge and the equipment is free.

I don't know if this will make the FCC happy, but it's a hell of a lot better way to keep the additional channels on the side slots and not be blatantly breaking the law! I know the channel is up there, I do not know if it is "active" to affected customers yet.

    See ya
    Tony
