I'd rather find out when he regenerates, but avoiding spoilers until then will be pretty hard.

The live special is followed by seven half hours about each doctor and an hour about the companions. Looks like a good day for a review.

Yeah, not sure about the "Doctors Revisited" episodes though. The original versions are 2 hours each, the ones being broadcast tomorrow are only 30 minutes.

The original revisits were the 30 minute show about the Doctor and then they showed on of his episodes for the rest of the time.

Ahhh, I have them recorded but haven't set aside 2 hours to watch one yet.

So thoughts on the new Doctor? The recent parts played is quite interesting.

It is a shame the show started late ... fortunately I recorded the show after and saw the end of the interview.

It should be interesting to see how the new Doctor works out,

I'm glad that my DVR recommends an extension to live events, but I really didn't think I'd actually need it. I used it anyway thankfully.

Though BBCA has greatly improved over the years, used to be we could go months or years after something aired in UK to see it here, if ever.

I have mixed feelings. He's already been on a Doctor Who episode AND Torchwood, as a regular in Season 3, and that could get confusing. I kinda think they should have gone with someone who had no previous connection to Doctor Who other than being from the UK.

I was hoping for Richard Ayoade. :D

In most cases it still takes months, Doctor Who is the one exception. I'm STILL waiting on Red Dwarf Season 10...

Part of me still wishes for Robert Carlyle, but he is tied up with Once Upon a Time here in the US... outside of that, I had no skin in the game... but Peter Capaldi seems to be a good actor and I'm perfectly find with them going older. I hope this means the end of the companion-loves-the-Doctor storylines that have gotten old in New Who. If the scripts could ever catch up with the capabilities of the actors they have had in recent years, it could be even better.

Tom Baker is my Doctor. But the other regenerations will do. :)

Hasn't been a problem before. Colin Baker was a previous character. Romana II was a character the previous season. Others have played more than one part. Including companions.
