So we got a new SD channel today. NGW 283 (Nat Geo WILD). Big Whoop!
It would've been a big deal had they brought it in Glorious HD, but no. C'mon D* get these carriage agreements kick started!
I'm not sure if this has been asked but,how many new HD channels should be added by the end of the year?
All of them?
How many will be added by the end of the year is a separate question.
You spend more for a mere car than for TV? Amazing!
Cinema 3D and n3D "live":http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?p=2518333
What's to understand, I can see the difference. But if you have a cheap tv as you must you would have to go by this theory.
Please take the pissing match elsewhere.
As for ABC/ESPN/Disney-owned stations choosing 720p as their standard, remember this as well: when these standards were set, the VAST majority of HD TVs in existence were 720p plasmas (very pricey!) or 1080i RPTVs. No one expected any form of 1080p broadcasts at all, in any format, and no one anticipated the rapid price decreases for quality 1080p displays.
Yep that site lists 166 channels. However, I disagree with 6 of those. They have to be counting at least one of these to get "over 160". I guess when they launch the missing Cinema HD channel and/or GolTV, "over 160" will be accurate.
ESPN 3D (Part-time)
1 DIRECTV Cinema HD Channel (They list 35, but Sixto only reports 34)
HD Net Movies On Demand
HD Net On Demand
n3D HD On Demand
Smithsonian HD On Demand
Hmmm...it must be June 31st.
When the new thread is started please post a link to it. Thank you.
Yupper, it is June 31st, the day we were promised DirecTV would start broadcasting AMC HD, BBC HD and TCM HD.
