I'm wondering if my internet is connected correctly to my system, and why TV Apps is so slow (and unreliable). I used to have a 3 HD DVR system. All three were hard wired to my router (I have ethernet in every room). I replaced 2 of my DVR's and now have an HR34, C31 and I kept my HR24. Both the Genie and HR24 are connected by ethernet to my router. They see each other just fine and MRV works great at all three locations. But, do they both need to be connected like that? I'm a n00b when it comes to anything SWM and DECA, but after reading that my new 34 has a DECA built in, is there a more efficient way to connect my 24 to my whole home system? (I did not have a DECA before.) Question 2: TV Apps are very slow and unreliable. About 30% of the time they don't work, and they are always very slow to pop up and navigate in all three of my locations. My TV App issue got me to wondering about my 24 being directly connected to my router. Yesterday I removed the ethernet cable from my 24 to see what would happen and the Genie could no longer see the programs stored on it, and I got an error saying there was no network connection when I tried TV Apps on it so I plugged it back in.
