I think Newsmax is also available on the Roku for free.

I wonder if it will be in HD on Directv. The Roku stream is 720P.

Focused on serving an audience of more than 80 million disenfranchised Baby Boomers, Newsmax Media, Inc.’s Newsmax TV has signed a distribution deal with DirecTV and is accelerating toward a national launch that expects to reach 40 percent of U.S. cable and satellite homes by the end of this year.

Newsmax TV also plans a major OTT platform rollout, with penetration estimated in excess of 100 million iOS and Android smart devices.

Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy said that the company will begin its soft launch in mid-June through DirecTV on its most penetrated residential and commercial packages, reaching more than 20 million subscribers. Newsmax expects to announce additional distribution deals in the near future.

So does this mean DirecTV will not be getting The Blaze?
I'd be surprised if both were added (unless the channels pay for distribution).

(BTW: Thanks in advance for keeping this thread politics free.)

Cool....more commercials for gold, silver, and emergency food.

It does some weird that this would be added instead of Blaze TV. Does FSTV pay for distribution?

I'd be very surprised if Newsmax isn't paying for distribution.

More news channels! Fios recently added 1 America (I think that is the name) in HD. Also, a view from the right. Sounds like a few companies are trying to cash in on the Fox News ratings bonanza.

That's cool and all, but how about BBC World News? That would be better.

It's all I can do to refrain as Newsmax & Blaze have a strong agenda to offer its POV and neither make any attempt to hide it. They wouldn't be on without it

By your argument, FSTV should not be on Directv either.

One does not need to fake news to be conservative (or liberal) in view of the news. Unfortunately, from what I know of newsmax history, they are rife with retracted stories of the type that would be considered scandalous if it were a daily newspaper.
