Like watching adult movies in HD, you see all the flaws.
I agree. Especially for the playoffs. Baseball and football have one, oh wait, there's even a mix channel for college basketball, golf and tennis, so why can't hockey and basketball have one?
Yea it sucks but its def cause there are not enough subscribers...I had to buy another tv for my room so I could get ready for playoffs..
A mix channel and other enhancements might bring more subscribers. As more people drop the expensive NFL package, the subscribers might increase for the NHL & EI packages, which you can see much more for much less.
yea they should really do it esp if their the "sports leaders" When i had comcast they had a type of gamemix channel...
I sure would like to see pictures of that mix channel on Comcast.
Is anyone else just getting a black screen on 784 for this game!? Battle for first place and I'm not getting it. WTF!
Nevermind, it just came on.
Oilers PPV SD PQ was horrid again -- could barely read the graphics on the screen it was so bad.
Positive OTA BLUES & CSN PHILLY were used tonight. (SD)
Yes another CSNP was used & the Flyers finally locked up a playoff berth tonight. They had their HD twice during the season. Why can't they pony up and show them in HD when they use CSN ?
Yes the Oilers PQ was horrible.
It's not Center Ice,but Versus must be using the B team. These PxP guys are horrible who are doing the COL/SJ game !!
That was John Ahlers & Neil Smith
Have mercy on me, I live in O.C. and Ahlers does the PxP for the Ducks
Imagine, if you dare, what he's like doing the "homie" thing:eek2:
You'd think that Neil Smith, with all the experience he has as a New York Ranger G.M. would have more insight, eh?
It could be worse.
Ever watch the LA Kings? Bob Miller & Jim Fox:nono:
I see and hear them all the time.
So wasn't the SD video of the Panthers/Flyers game. It looked very bleached out. I don't know why DirecTV couldn't give us the HD version, I saw it was available. The Vancouver/Calgary game wasn't very good either. Probably because they had so many baseball games in HD, and were short of bandwidth. It looks like they reduced the quality of many of their games last night. Between the hockey and baseball it takes up a lot of bandwidth.
As far as I know,D used their HD feed twice this season.Once for the game in Vancouver where it had no audio and also for the game in Anaheim. The SD was awful.
In general I notice the quality for feeds that D doesn't normally have (like RDS, TSN, CSN-Philly) are in general lousy. The MSG feeds look normal as well as the FSN Pittsburgh feed last night. It would lead me to be believe it might have something to do with transmission more than compression.
The NHL Network has switched the Leafs-Sens game for Habs-Pens on Saturday April 11 which makes sense since the Habs-Pens game has meaning for the playoffs.
Now we wait to see 1] If the Habs Pens game will be blacked out in the Philly area [as happened before this season]
2] Will the correct Leafs-Sens feed make it to NHLCI on DirecTV. The last time this happened it took at least 30 minutes for them to find the right feed.
Why is the Predators feed of the Preds-Wings game blacked out? I want to watch the Preds feed! They have every feed available and it's being shown on FSN South, how stupid.
Yeah, I am near Lancaster (not in the Pittsburgh DMA), yet we always get the Pens games blacked out on NHIC. It stinks!
