I just called Directv and asked if there was any new news between Directv and Comcast/Vs. They said they are still trying to reach a new deal. He asked what type of programming I watched on VS and I said Hockey and IRL.
He said that there was on 54 games on VS that Directv would not have. But since I was a loyal Directv customer that I could have NHL CI free for the season.

Ive read on the internet that Directv was offering people free NHL.

Does anyone have a link to the games being shown on the NHL Center Ice package for this month? I have checked D* and they have no schedule and searching for it using an old link gave me last years games.

I kinda would like to know the games that are on and which ones are HD.

Use that same link and then enter your zip code and click on view. You will get this years schedule. It doesn't format properly, so to see HD column, go to bottom of page and scroll to the right.

No over-the-air deal yet. I'm sure something will happen since the team will stay in Glendale for the year.

Why is it that NHL CI is one of the very few packages that doesn't get a mix channel?

If things keep going in recent trends, there won't be enough games to fill up the squares :hurah: Just kidding...I shouldn't be cynical. "Rise above it".

Gm Mix: I'd guess that we don't see a Mix ch due to the NHL's percieved ranking in the scheme of things. Sad, but that's the way it is.

What is channel 769? It says "NHL Centre Ice Extra"? Did they have this last year? If so, what was shown.

    Thanks

Yes, we had it last year. It was just a graphics listing of the current scores of games in progress. Sometimes it showed what channel the games was on. Many times the scores were behind the actual score of the game in progress. It was not a video mix channel like we see for ST.

Yeah, why does cable have one and we don't?

I'd also like to see D* put the NHLN and Versus (if we ever get it back) games grouped in the 700's with the other NHLCI games. Sometimes you forget to check those channels for games.

I could almost live without Versus if DIRECTV would broadcast CBC & other Canadian Feeds in HD (Rogers, etc.) during the regular season. IMO, Versus does a horrible job covering games.

Why can't CBC join a game while another is going on? 10PM, 771 Should have went to Calgary and Vancouver, not Montreal and Toronto.

The more I look at the schedule the worse things get.

Tomorrow there will be 2 more games missing - Florida @ Chicago & St. Louis @ Detroit. Versus & TSN is showing both games in HD. DIRECTV should've been prepared to show TSN feeds as they were aware of the Versus situation a month ago, unless there's some type of restriction in place by the league.

The Calgary Vancouver game did not start until the Toronto Montreal game was over. The reason why they didn't go to Calgary on 771 is there is only one national feed of both games
