It means that you haven't been billed for it, yet. We usually get billed for it in our September to December, bills.

Okay, thanks guys. I'll probably call and see if they'll give a discount, but I'm not gonna hope for anything.

If you haven't had a bunch of credits on your account there is a good chance you might get a discount. Talk to retentions and tell them that it is a little too expensive. Probably could get at least $50 off.

I use the mix channel for the NFL and MLB not to actually watch the games, but rather as a launching pad to see whats going on and to pick what game I want to watch. I usually start on the mix to see what games are actually going on, to check scores and amount time left, and then select the game I want to watch. The ability to select and move to the game you want to watch from the mix channel is great. I think the mix channels are very useful, but I never watch the games from them.

I show the same thing on my account even though I called and canceled NHL CI back in June.

Like sigma said, you had better call again if you don't want to get billed. The frontline Customer Service department @ directv is awful. It seems like they just tell you what you want to hear and nothing gets done. I find that it is best to immediately request retentions. They seem to be able to help the most.

You can get a deal if you call and talk to someone. I told them I may need to cancel Center Ice because of my bill being high already (Premiere Package) and asked if they could offer me a discount on Center Ice. They gave me $20.00 off for 6 months, so basically thats the same as getting $120.00 off Center Ice, so its like I got Center Ice this year for $51.00. Good luck with your call.

Out of curiosity, did you talk to the first line Customer Service, or, did you ask for a special department?

In my case, the first person I talked too listened to what I had to say and then she said she was going to transfer me to someone in "programming" who would let me know what discount they could offer me. Once I was transferred, it took less than 5 minutes for her to offer me the $20.00 off for 6 months deal.

Good to know. Did you happen to get in on the free NHL Center Ice last year? In case had not heard about it, basically, last year they were giving CI free because of the lack of the Versus network on Direct.

scott what was weird, is that comcast gave free Center ice away for free for the first 6 weeks before realizing they didnt turn off the free preview..

either that or it was taht I had MLB EI and the 2 sport packages are on the same channels.

I've seen Comcast use the same channels for MLB EI and NHL CI so that might've been what happened.

That is because the East teams are more skilled and the teams also have the higher skilled players...hence viewer draw.

I hope you are joking. We all know it is because of ratings because of the hockey hotbed of the Northeast, not because of the competition. The Sharks have been one of the elite teams of the NHL the past 4-5 years, but you wouldn't know that based on VS/NBC. Ducks won a cup a few years ago, and teams at the bottom of the "leastern" conference playoffs wouldn't have even made it in the West. Look at the standings last season. I think the Habs had the same point total as the Stars, but the Stars weren't even close to making it. Took 95 points to be 8 seed in the West, 88 in the East. Hell #7 seeded Preds in the West had 100 points. They would have tied for the Division title had they played in the Northleastern division of the leastern conference. Caps (most pts in league) were the only leastern conference team with more points than west #4 seed, the Coyotes (107 pts).

And looking at your setup, Directv definitely doesn't want to lose you! :) Impressive. You could probably get Center Ice Free every year if you wanted.

teams east are skilled. but the west has some great teams and talent.

sharks, coyotes, kings, just to name a few have a bright future

I have to say the best team in the nhl in my opnion is the phoenix coyotes. I'm a flyers fan.

But from an age, talent and compeititve standpoint. PHX has a great team.

Hmm, I wonder if I could get a deal on CI if I already have the NFLST deal?

    Ummm OK...lol

The only reason the western conf have alot of points is becasue a couple are good and they just beat the rest of the conference a few times a year.

You are smoking some good stuff buddy. all of the talent is East of the Mississippi, sorry.:hurah:
