Just the one game on tonight? NHL network?
IIRC, VS has had all European games exhibition and regular season.
Nashville is only broadcasting 60 games on local tv, but at least they are all HD. Almost every game this year will be broadcast in HD by either the home or away affiliate (league wide). The question is: How many will NHL CI broadcast in HD?
The last few years they have missed very few other than games with single feeds on OTA stations which are spot beamed or feeds from Canada only which were not on NHL Network. Then, of course, there was that hissy fit by Dolan which ended late last season and hopefully will not be repeated.
So am I blind or what? It says to click on the attachment to see the list of games being covered but I don't see anything?!?
Well - looks like Stars have a new TV partner this year (KTXA channel 21). Hopefully TXA 21 can sign with NHLCI to show these broadcasts. Otherwise we will be subject to the other feeds for these 17 broadcasts.
Sabres will be 100% HD this year
Boy..was i wrong...hahaha...ALL of the road games!!!
so the MSG channels are airing games in 16X9 HD on DTV, or just "Digital quality 4X3"
KTXA 21 Texas Rangers feeds are on MLB EI, so maybe you guys outside DFW will get the feed.
It should be 16x9 HD on DirecTV.
NJ/Philly game looking good tonight.
the NHLN is blacked out here as usual in Eastern coastal Jersey.
Minnesota Wild are showing all 82 regular season games, and two pre-season games, and for the first time for them, all will be in HD (only 50 games in HD last year).
That should help out a lot on western conference HD games on CI.
Yeah, but aren't quite a few local tv games? I'm not sure if CI will pick up those local tv games in HD but I'll be happy if they do!
Wow, it sounds like the NHL is finally going full HD.
njVs.philly was a great game tonight! i was also able to watch a bit of the oilers joey moss cup through their site. excited to see some oilers hd action this coming sunday through the nhl network..... bring on the season!
Finally after years of Dolans and Quinns BS why they couldn't do it. And to top it off Robbi will back on the home pre and post games.
It makes sense that this would be the year. It should have been last season but I think the economic conditions made teams hesitant to make the commitment to HD production for all games - HD is a lot more expensive to produce than SD.
