I'm looking at the online Center Ice schedule for next week, and there is a big fat hole between the 21st and the 26th. I'm concerned because my Wild play the Flyers on the 24th And I dont want to have to find a worse-than-SD internet feed to watch a game when I'm paying for the package thats supposed to give me every damned game.

    Anyone know whats up?

I was wondering the same thing about the gap in the schedules. When I did my regular search last night for Flyer games, I noticed that the Canadiens at Flyers game for Monday is missing!

By the way, does anyone have any insight as to who you should ask for when raising these issues with DirecTV? I typically tell whomever answers at Customer Service that I have a broadcast issue but in the end, they all seem to read from some published schedule and it is difficult to get through to anyone who can give a definitive answer to any question - or effect a change when DirecTV genuinely do screw up.

I noticed on the NHL site that the 11/20 Preds @ Canes game doesn't look like it is being broadcast in either market. I also noticed that on Directv's site, it shows that the game is on 777 in SD. I am wondering if this is a mistake or could it be a stadium feed?

The best schedule to use is this one. It shows that there is no feed for it. But things can change at the last minute.

Yes, that is what I was looking at. On nhl, it shows no local broadcast, so I assume the game is not being broadcast in either Nashville or Carolina. Yet, on the Direct site (which, yes, I know is prone to mistakes), it shows the game on 777 in SD. What I wondered was if Center Ice, in the past, ever got stadium feeds when neither team was broadcasting? Or, is this more likely a mistake on the Direct Schedule page?

CBMC, neither team is scheduled to broadcast the game, so if Directv does show the game it will have to be from a in-house feed.

I'll be at the game, but I set it on the DVR to see what records. I'm sure it will probably be some of the worse SD ever, if they do show it. In-house feeds are historically really bad picture quality!

You probably won't know until that night - but I know last year we sometimes got closed circuit type feeds so you may get to watch it.

You know what's frustrating? The fact that I can watch more hd football/soccer every weekend then people living in europe even get yet still can't receive four or so Canadian hd/NHL feeds a week through the same provider.

And what's also concerning is that even SD feeds from Canada are down to almost 0. Other than 1 Leafs game this week there haven't been ANY Canadian feeds that I have seen. This started last week with them dropping the late HNIC game on Saturday night even though it was on the schedule and in the guide. It's there again tonight but time will tell.

I guess DIRECTV management was actually listening to all the complaints about the bad quality SD Canadian feeds. So they fixed that for everyone and dropped them.

You have got to be kidding me. Not the Yule Log again. What channel is it on?

I remember WPIX Channel 11 in New York used to have this every year during the Sixties and Seventies. Considering I lived in a Bronx low-rise where I didn't even know what a fireplace was, I found it strangely compelling . . . for a few minutes.

So no NHLCI coverage of tonight's Flames-Devils tilt?

All I'm seeing is a "PPV" labeled broadcast in SD on 786, and an RSn Alternate feed in SD on 636.

I was hoping my Flames might pick up a couple points in their miserable 5 games in 7 days death march through DET, NYR, NJ, PHL, and PIT.

And that I might be able to watch it.

Seeing as how I paid Directv full retail for NHLCI and all.

    *sigh*

must be too many games on, still seems odd though, all they are doing is mirroring the rsn?

I've seen games scheduled on those "PPV" channels before and was able to watch games fine. The game isn't being produced in HD by MSG Plus 2 tonight, so that's why it's only showing a SD broadcast.

I have Dish's version of NHLCI and I have the Flames-Devils game on though it is the TSN broadcast. Which is in SD but TSN's broadcast is pretty good.
